Cosmic: Would it not be best that we question how WE treat each other and let others question how they treat others? Force has never created anything but counterforce/resistance for one reason. Spirit is meant to be free flowing... not impeded by force of will upon others. Do what thou will... harm none... is perhaps one of the most sound admonitions I am able to imagine. If this mindset were adopted by the earth denizen... we would not be having such conversation. Even more simply put... if you would not want someone doing something to you... do not even imagine doing it to someone else. Makes me wonder if mankind is not some form of energy vampire which truly believes it can only become all powerful by sucking out the life force of others. donnella: at least they can vote and have a lot more rights than in the surrounding arab countries. Cosmic: Why is the right to vote held in greater esteem than the right to live without provocation... without force of will.... without hatred or prejudice... without wars and rumors of wars??? Even in the so called freest society on the planet... your right to vote is useless if your vote does not count. donnella: no one says israel is perfect, but i would like to see a lot more criticism of the barbarism of arab countries and a lot less on israel trying no matter whether you agree with it to defend themselves from terrorist attacks. Cosmic: No one CAN say Israel is perfect... you can not judge an entire people by the thoughts and actions of an enumerate of individuals amongst it no matter. I would like to have cause for no criticism rather than to see more of it... personally. Why not put our collective energies into creating that reality instead of pointing out the lesser of evils at an evil convention? Terrorism is a CRIMINAL act and should be dealt with like all other criminal acts... but it is a wonderful excuse to rain all manner of hell on the opposition don't you think? Terrorism is a lot like domestic violence. For instance... if a woman is being beaten by her husband daily and you happen to live next door... you listen to the crying... the screaming... you witness the devastation and sorrow on the faces of the wife and children till you can not simply sit back and watch it any longer. Do you.... pick up the phone and call an appropriate authority or at least file a complaint so that this criminal activity can be investigated... or... do you barge into the home with your AK47... shoot the place up killing a few of the children and the husband and then expect the remaining children and the wife to fall down and worship you for eliminating their abuser? Really... what do you really expect will be the result of your so called defensive action? You do not defend yourself or anyone else by attacking someone sharing the same DNA as your attacker any more than you defend yourself by collective punishment of a people because someone sharing their ethnicity has wronged you. Who pray tell does not believe and support the ability for someone to defend themselves?
