SqueezeCenter doesn't support multiple ratings for the same track today
neither do my plugins.

I think it's planned to make this possible in SqueezeCenter 8.0 when
the new database schema is planned to be introduced. However, even
though it's possible I'm still not sure Logitech will make ratings a
priority as they've so far tried to avoid having information in the
SqueezeCenter database that needs to survive a rescan.

There is a broad consensus on 5 star ratings when ratings are displayed
or set by a user. I really hope Logitech is going to fall into the
5-star rating scheme when they start to display rating stars in their
interface. Today the only way to display stars in the interface is to
use either TrackStat or iTunes Update plugin, both which supports a
5-star rating scheme.

However, there is a difference how ratings are shown to the user and
how they are stored internally. How they are stored internally differs
from application to application, most applications use a value between
0-100 or 0-255 internally. Unfortunately the POPM tag in the ID3
standard defines a value between 0-255 which promotes the use of this
internal value when writing ratings to the POPM tag. It would have been
so much easier if the ID3 specification defined that the POPM tag could
contain a value between 0-5 since it would make it harder for someone
(like Microsoft) to decide to use a different scale than the rest of
the market.
