I'm hoping I'm just missing something very silly, but at the moment I am perplexed. In anticipation of the new Touch I decided to go ahead and start ripping some of the DVD-A's that I have with DVDAexplorer to FLAC. All is OK, works just fine. I then edited the tags using Tag&Rename using the same structure I have been using for years, Artist, Album, Title, Track # etc. All is well there too. (I have always used EAC to rip CD's to FLAC) I have also tried using Media Monkey to edit the tags just in case something wasn't getting written properly but I'm ending up with the same results.
Currently using Slim Server 6.5.2 and really don't want to upgrade unless I have to with the new Touch as it has been working perfectly for years. MY SB3's also have been, and continue to work just fine, but I'm really looking forward to being able to utilize the 24/96 of the new Touch. And just as an aside, even the SB3's with the down sampled 24/48 rate sound pretty good! (Yes's Fragile DVD-A stereo tracks) OK so here's the dilemma, nothing drastic but it's driving me nuts. Slim Server seems to see all the tags properly, I can browse in any fashion I like and get to a song, album, artist etc....on Slim Server itself. However when I go to my SB3's my usual fashion of listening by scrolling to Artist> Album> does not work any more. "Album" in this case "Fragile" is gone. What's nuts is that the SB3's see, and play the Album in every other view, so for instance if I go... Artist> Yes> All Songs> I can then scroll to say "Roundabout" in 150 other Yes songs and it will tell me all of the proper tags, including Album "Fragile". I can also scroll to Album> Fragile> and it's there no problem with all of the proper tag info. But not when I go Artist> Album> ...."Fragile" is gone. So am I going crazy? Am I missing something simple? Is it a 24/96 thing? Dunno.....I'm stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. -- Robert_W ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Robert_W's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6540 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=72310 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
