A couple of things: 1) If you are playing a 24/96 file on 6.5.x it won't be using SOX to downsample - it will just be throwing away alternate samples which is not great. You need 7.2.x at least (from memory) for your SB3 to play/sound correct 2) If you are going to use the Touch you will need to upgrade to 7.5/8.0 (when it is available). 3) Do you have Fragile by Yes ripped in both redbook and DVD-A? - if so, have you named the album files/tags differently? For example, I have both "Fragile" and "Fragile(DVD-A)" in my Album lists. 4) FLAC tags work the same regardless of sample rate/bit-depth - it's not that. 5) Have you done a "clear & rescan" recently...
