What remains are the "hard commits", some of them deeply hidden in sysklog history (15 to 25 years old). Many authors have already been contacted and most agreed, some no longer reachable. I even rewrote quite a bit of code. I recently had to reject an IBM submission because it was under GPL and they had no approval to submit the contribution under ASL, so it's definitely a hassle and the 2 to 3 month are what I really think it takes.
