For those contemplating entering the tie-making business, one advantage 
of the ACE ties is that the tooling probably already exists.  I would 
assume that the Manheim Tool Co. (who took over Downs who took over 
ACE) probably has the tooling carefully stored in a basement or attic 
or somewhere.  Just that much is a big step forward toward a finished
