Good points, Ed!

We talk about converting people from HO, but we don't have a DCC-friendly track
system comparable to Atlas HO, which is bound to be a big stumbling block for
those wanting to move up to S.

Hi ....dave,

Of the 950+ members on this List, I wonder how many scratchbuild their own
turnouts? From the comments, I would guess not very many, but that is just a
guesstimate at best. The average modeler out there, in my opinion, would
prefer a good quality accurate RTR turnout to a scratchbuilding project.
Again, that is just a guesstimate on my part. Maybe what I am really wondering
is if it might make sense for someone to actually manufacture the perfect
turnout and charge an extra $10 or $15 for that perfection. I wonder if folks
would flock to it or shun it? More musing on an otherwise idle day.
Cheers...Ed L.
