Good points, Ed! We talk about converting people from HO, but we don't have a DCC-friendly track system comparable to Atlas HO, which is bound to be a big stumbling block for those wanting to move up to S.

From the comments, I would guess not very many, but that is just a guesstimate at best. The average modeler out there, in my opinion, would prefer a good quality accurate RTR turnout to a scratchbuilding project. Again, that is just a guesstimate on my part. Maybe what I am really wondering is if it might make sense for someone to actually manufacture the perfect turnout and charge an extra $10 or $15 for that perfection.
