Ya are close to hitting the nail on the head with this astute observation.
Sorta reminds me of years ago when Lionel was contemplating doing something in
S (AF, of course). So I called them up to find out what was happening and to
put in my two cents worth. By the time I got around to making the phone call,
the man told me that Lionel had shelved the idea of making S products.
I asked him on what basis that decision was made. He said none of their
dealers reported any customer demand for S products. When I pointed out that
all of their dealers were O gauge dealers and would never hear of S desires,
his response was something along the lines of: "That's the way we do it here."
This is a long uphill struggle that will not be accomplished by writing
messages to each other on a mis-named S-SCALE Yahoo Group. Every person
writing gripe messges should pick up the phone on Monday and call Lionel. Do
something useful! It might work. You will never know until you try it.
