well, I offered to talk to the upstream (whom I happen to know well, and
whom I saw last week at a conference...), but, no, somehow this is not the
right way to proceed with this ticket. For some reason people prefer to
have fun putting in untested pieces of C code and make everyone run
circles testing them on a gazzillion of different platform... Thus I wash
my hands, and remove myself from CC:
