There have been several updates released since the time of those fateful communications, so I would recommend just trying it and seeing whether or not accessibility has been improved. Re: [Audyssey] Silversword is not the game for the blind.
Part of being a strong advocate is not flying off the handle when something doesn't happen as quickly as you'd like it to. Mario mentioned that he had an idea of what to do in order to fix the accessibility issues which still existed in Silversword. Even though you knew this Michael, you still continued to email him far more often than was warranted. Now Mario may decide not to implement further accessibility in Silversword, and I wouldn't entirely blame him. As blind computer users, virtually every interaction we have with a sighted developer is an opportunity to educate them about our intelligence, competence, and ability to advocate for ourselves appropriately. When we don't do this, we leave the sighted developer with a negative view that he or she could ascribe to all blind people with whom they interact in the future. This is why we must always conduct ourselves with the utmost professionalism and courtesy when asking a developer to consider accessibility. I sincerely hope that you have learned a valuable lesson from this experience. Unfortunately, your mistake may have cost the blind gaming community the ability to fully enjoy a really interesting sounding game. Please consider this the next time you wish to advocate for the community at large. If you want to become a successful advocate, you will need to change your tactics significantly. Re: [Audyssey] Silversword is not the game for the blind.
Here's the thing Michael. It's the little things that we do when we write to other people which set the tone of our messages. I think you know that your writing could stand to improve pretty significantly. You don't use proper punctuation and grammar, you don't structure your sentences very well, and your messages always sound as though you've written them in a terrible hurry. This combination of factors would make anyone sound demanding and rude. If you'd take an extra five minutes to run spell checker and proofread your messages, that would go a long way towards changing the overall tone. You also need to be a lot more specific when you're communicating with developers. Judging by your communications to the list, you've basically kept saying to poor Mario, This isn't accessible, fix it, over and over again. Any time one of us has suggested a particular game feature which needs to be improved, you respond almost as though you haven't played the game yourself. Sometimes I think you simply loaded the intro screen of the game, saw that the buttons weren't initially labeled, and shot off an email to the developer with no clear idea of the specific changes that needed to be made. This placed a terribly heavy burden on Mario. I suspect that all of the things he learned about implementing the level of accessibility which currently exists within the game was a result of his own research and hard work. He should be commended for that. These are just a few more things to keep in mind as you hopefully work to improve your advocacy skills. Even though that message in and of itself was not particularly demanding, I know that's not the first message you've sent to Mario. That's the type of message that you send a few weeks or even a few months into the process of making accessibility inroads. Give the poor man time to implement his ideas before pestering him. For your information, I do not feel that I am better than any other person on this list. However, I have significant experience as a competent blind adult and as an advocate for other blind people. I am simply trying to help Michael improve his skills both as a self advocate, and most especially, as an advocate for the blind community at large. Sighted developers look at Michael's communications and most likely judge blind people as a whole based on how he presents us and himself. In this internet based world, blind and sighted people alike are judged based on how they present themselves in writing, and how they depict their interactions with other people. Hi Mike. I'm not sure what the button to the left of cast spell is. However, the way I generally find out info about unlabeled buttons is just to double tap them and see what happens. Generally, you're not going to break anything by doing that. As for visuals, I'm not sure if there are any as I'm also totally blind. Yes, please, for the love of God, create a separate list to discuss mainstream gaming. Here goes.. Yohandy, while I feel the same frustration as you do though not quite to that level, I do think that people will only be willing to go so far. I do think, however, that most people here are a bit mistaken on how long it takes to learn a mainstream game whether you're blind or not. Sighted people take just as long as we do to familiarize themselves with the game, it's just in different ways. As many people know, I am a huge, huge fighting game enthusiast, with rock band as a close second. The thing with fighting games, I find, is that there is so much replay value that isn't appreciated, by blind or sighted folks alike. Any fighting game fan knows that there are more than just combos to a fighting game. There's mind games, spacing, bating, mix ups... so much to deal with, yet noone thinks about it. All people play fighters for is the graphics and audio, and strategy and gameplay at a deeper level is almost completely overlooked. These are the same people who list anime-based games as fighting games, and those are more considered brawlers and yes, there is a difference. Anime-based games, though they appear to be complicated, are actually a lot more basic than most fighting games. As an example, at Evo which is the biggest fighting game tournament and convention held in the world, you will never see something like Dragon Ball Z: Budokai. Why? Because the controls are simple, and strategy is only minimally found. Pressing buttons, hoping for magic. This is not as bad as most people might think. Sighted people take just as much time to learn combos, button sequences, etc that we take. There are many games that won't let you do well by button mashing. Devil May cry, for example, has always had something called the style meter. This depicts how much style you finish off your opponent with, and you're rated accordingly. So you can't just button mash your way through a crowd of enemies... what options do you have? Are you going to use your Sword to knock an enemy into the air and gun him down? Or are you going to pick up an enemy through him into a crowd and blast away? Fighting games especially need timing and precise reactions. Getting on topic here though... Yohandy, I think Liam's right. We're in a small minority, and that doesn't look like it's going to change. Yet to the people defending the argument... I urge you all to consider this. Takes a bit of time to learn menus, sure. But that's what the rest of us are for, right? If there were more people who played mainstream games, we could colaberate and write structures, screens and the rest of it. And as for move lists and the like? The internet is a big place... and there are many websites specifically dedicated to fighting games. And again, just because we take long time to learn the games, doesn't mean that it's a legit excuse not to play.
Re: [Audyssey] my frustration with the blind gaming comunity.
I think one of the reasons why not many people respond is because I'm not sure how many blind people want to pay $200 or $300 for a mainstream game console on which they might only be able to play three or four games at most. It's definitely not worth it for me. Secondly, when I'm playing a game, I want to get lost in the world of the game itself. IF I have to constantly worry about pressing menu, then button A twice, then pressing down arrow 20 times, then clicking my heels three times, and finally pressing enter and hoping I've landed on the right option, I'm going to lose interest very quickly. Allison -Original Message- From: gamers-boun...@audyssey.org [mailto:gamers-boun...@audyssey.org] On Behalf Of Yohandy Sent: Monday, February 07, 2011 1:13 PM To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: [Audyssey] my frustration with the blind gaming comunity. Hey guys, Ok I'm gonna go ahead and say it. I find myself getting extremely frustrated with the blind gaming community. Why you ask? ok here goes. I'm sure you guys have noticed I've been putting up some rock band samples up. you've also noticed Clement has been putting up some street fighter IV samples and various other samples. So why is it that when we ask for feedback or comments on these samples we work hard to create, people simply either ignore us completely, or the same 3 or 4 people are the ones to always respond? well you know what I think the reason for that is? simply that the games we post about are mainstream games, not audio games. I've noticed that when a new audio game comes out, even if it's the most simplistic game in existence, everyone's all jumping to download it immediately and there are threads that span hundreds of messages on the subject. But when we post something having to do with console games, the thread dies in a matter of hours. I'm sure Clement has been feeling this frustration as well. it's been leaking through in his emails to the list even if he hasn't mentioned it outright. So my question is this: what must we do to get you guys interested in something other than topspeed 3, or any other audio game for that matter? don't you guys have that spark of curiosity to find out everything there is to find about video games? why is everyone ignoring these games outright? This community has hundreds of members, and only a very limited amount of people even talk about mainstream games. it's all audio games, audio games, and more audio games. there's so much more out there for you to find guys. how can you call yourself a gamer when you aren't even willing to download the files Clement and I put up to at least listen to what these games have to offer? Whenever I put up a rock band sample, I get like 4 or 5 downloads at most. however I rarely get any feedback. I think you guys are just shoving these files in your hard drives and don't even take a listen. if you do, then you have the curiosity of a robot. I don't know about Clement, but I'm not planning on putting anything else up. What's the point? no one seems to care what we have to say, or have any curiosity about console gaming. you guys just keep playing your audio games and keep your closed-minded mentality about game accessibility in general. If you think I'm taking things too far, consider this: remember when Clement and I had that little Street Fighter seminar? I finally thought that people finally had some interest in what we had to say and in the game and such. we got some really good questions, and over all had a really good time. but once that seminar ended, what do you think happened? That's right. absolutely nothing. people basically were like oh ok, that game had awesome sounds and music and such. ok back to playing some tank commander. at least, that's how I feel personally. it was fun as a spur of the moment thing. Now let me ask you this. how many of you, after listening to that seminar went over to gamestop and bought a copy of Street Fighter? or even go to a friend's house and try the game out? My guess is 0. ok rant over. I know this email is a mess lol, but it's just basically me writing down my ideas as they come to mind. take from it what you will. for those of us serious about gaming, we need to get together and figure where we should take it from here. Do we give up, or keep trying? I'm pretty tired of trying my self when everyone's resisting to be honest. I didn't have much success, but that does not mean I have no interest. This community has hundreds of members, and only a very limited amount of people even talk about mainstream games. it's all audio games, audio games, and more audio games. there's so much more out

Dear Thomas, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Allison http://www.allisonmervis.com/ -Original Message- From: gamers-boun...@audyssey.org [mailto:gamers-boun...@audyssey.org] On Behalf Of Thomas Ward Sent: Sunday, December 19, 2010 1:13 PM To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: [Audyssey] Some Extremely Sad News Dear list, I regret to inform you that there has been a very very tragic death in my family this weekend. Last night my mom called me and told me that my oldest step sister died under extremely tragic circomstances. At this point in time the police are ruling it out is a suicide. To say that this comes as a shocking suprise for the family and is very sad is an understatement. Although, my step sister and I were never close I still feel sad and extremely disappointed in how she chose to end her life. I feel extremely sorry for my neace who will be cellibrating this and every other Christmas without her mother. I also feel deeply sorry for my step father who lost a daughter, and my surviving step sisters who lost one of their sisters. For them Christmas will never ever be the same. For those of you who have faith in a religious background please pray for them in this time of morning and grief. Also pray for my step sister that perhaps she can find happiness in death that she never could in this life time. Moreover, never forget to tell your closest ffriends, family, and other loved ones that you love them. Remember that there is nothing more precious than life, and that no matter how bad life gets at times that taking your own life without a good cause is the greatest tragity of all. Finally, I wish to leave you with something that I learned from this experience. Remember to forgive those who have wronged you, and try to make, if possible, peace with everyone that you can. Especially, those who are your family and friends. Nothing is more tragic than what happened in my sisters' case. I'm not going to get into details and specifics, but one thing I can say is that my oldest sister was troubled. In her death she left behind a lot of unsettled arguments with my step father, my younger step sisters, her grandparents, and things were said in the heat of the moment to each other that can never be taken back or settled in this life time. My youngest step sister, for example, vowed never to see my oldest step sister again in this life time, and now, of course, she never will. My youngest step sister has to live with the guilt of allowing her personal feelings get in the way of making peace with her sister when she could have. Moreover, she now realises she wasn't there for her sister when she went over the emotional brink and took her own life when she needed her family, her loved ones, more than ever. So the lesson I want to pass on to each and every single one of you is don't let your anger, your personal differences, etc go so far that you have to live each and every day of your life regretting the things you have said and done. Make your peace while you have time, and tell those you love that you love them. Let them know you care regardless of how angry you might be at them. You will never know when tomorrow is simply too late to say, I'm sorry. I love you. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. The only one I've really played is judgment day, but you're right. There are already a lot of clones out there. What I really miss is the old Apple II Space Invaders. [Audyssey] Speaking of Oregon trail.
Hi everyone. I am among those who would love to see an accessible Oregon Trail game developed for windows. I remember hearing last year that Louis Bryant was working on porting over the Apple version. If that's the case, I would personally be more than willing to donate to support that project. I would also be willing to pay for the finished product. I've found a few versions of the game for Windows, but not surprisingly, they were not accessible. If Louis does have something in the works, I'm sure that there are many others who might also be willing to help support his efforts. Re: [Audyssey] audyssey game magazine proposal
If there was enough genuine interest, I would be happy to read future issues of Audyssey out loud. I already have all of the necessary recording equipment. I would imagine that many people would just use jaws to read the text version, but I'm just throwing it out there. Thanks. However, going from there to maybe the magazine is no longer needed seems rather unreasonable. Firstly, there are obviously a lot of people who are subscribed to the magazine only list, and therefore the announcements and news are stil valuable, besides, I personally often find the audeasy news a good overview. Even more than that though, the magazine is the only place to publish semi-academic articals on audio games (I'm writing one for the next issue myself). it is not possible to publish numbers of articals from various people in a blog, nor does a blog have either the same authority when presented in future accessible game discussion, especially with future developers, independent companies, or other sources who may need the articals to refer to (such as gamespot). As for having the magazine in an audio form, --- well if a human reader would be willing to reccord the thing in audio, that would be a good thing, but if your just talking about an mp3 version read by a synth I'm afraid I don't particularly see the bennifit sinse everyone here has synths to read the text anyway. If on the human reader subject you were imagining converting the magazine to some sort of podcast format, where people submitted audio reviews and articals, well, that's a good idea as far as it goes, however given recording difficulties, not to mention the need for text articals to refer to, and considderations for people on dile up connections, I'm not sure how workable that would be. Of course, more audio reviews would be a good thing indeed, so if I'm wrong about this please let me know. Beware the grue! I think the audyssey magazine takes to long to publish. its not regular enough. I therefore think that instead of one editor doing this thing every 3 times a year or whenever he can that several should do it. actually I could put it all together or whatever and others could write articles, etc. I have the time. Not sure how it would all work I just know its taking ages or seems like it to get another issue. When mike feir was round it came out 4 times a year and was rather regular. if it could be so again then it would be good. I've never done a magazine I just know there is time. Could also do an audio version for those that care. obviously there would have to be text for those on dialup. Right now I am not proposing a change immediately but its an idea. I feel that as a community we should make decisions like this rather than complaining about this. On the usagames list muhammed said the mag was to long and I thought well its not regular so there is so much to put in. On that note I wander with all the blogs, and stuff if we even need a mag since everything thats in the mag is known by everyone thats on the net, most of it is old news. Some newer articles, etc. I propose that we could have some extra things to go with for say software release dates, etc. Say for full versions or maybe other things, events, etc to happen exactly on the day the magazine ispublished so we can get interest in it again. I remember in the old days i started reading the mag on my 386 laptop. I had at that point little net, dialup, etc. It really got me realising that there was more to life than just me. I know there have been times that I have gone a bit over the top on here however I am trying to post a reasonable post this time. At 02:39 p.m. 13/12/2009, you wrote: Hi everyone, Over the passed few months many of you have reported to me a problem with Mysteries of the Ancients where it crashes suddenly and often times without warning. Some times an error will come up stating that a certain *.wav file could not be found, DirectX passes an illegal argument exception, and so on all of which seam to be related to Managed DirectX. I've confirmed this problem is related to Managed DirectX itself, not my games, from various sources so it is quite apparent that the Managed DirectX API for .NET programs needs to be taken out of the game and be replaced with something else much more stable and reliable. I agree that this should be done before Mysteries of the Ancients 1.0 is released. Obviously this will take some time, but there are various options and alternatives open to me at this point. There is a somewhat short term solution I could use where I simply upgrade the existing Genesis Engine written in C# .NET with alternative sound and input APIs. Just off the top of my head there is FMOD,Earclang, the XNA Framework, and SlimDX just to name a few options here. While upgrading the engine to use one or more of these APIs wouldn't take too long I do wonder if that is the better solution for the project long term. A better long term solution is to simply move away from C# .NET altogether and begin converting the code over to C++ now. Two of my projects STFC and USA Raceway are already in the process of being written in C++, and it would be in my long term interests to go ahead and switch the Genesis Engine and Mysteries of the Ancients to c++ now rather than wait to do it later on. For one thing I've been in the process of converting the Genesis Engine over to C++ anyway as well as some on going projects like the new STFC and USA Raceway. Rather than go through the trouble of removing Managed DirectX from the .NET based engine, upgrading it for this one game, it makes more practical sense to save myself the time and work by completing the C++ version of the Genesis Engine. Once that task is completed I could conceivably produce a better more stable version of Mysteries of the Ancients by using the newer and hopefully better C++ based game engine. Another reason why I think Mysteries of the Ancients should be converted to C++ has to do with long term technical support on my end of things. Ever since I began releasing games based on Microsoft's .NET technology my number one technical support issue has been related to downloading, installing, and upgrading the various .NET components you need such as the .NET Framework and Managed DirectX. Were i to switch to C++ I could save both you and I a lot of work downloading, installing, and upgrading libraries as I would primarily use standard Windows libraries that would be found on any XP, Vista, or Windows 7 system. You should be able to just install and go without wondering if you have the absolutely latest DirectX or .NET Framework on your system. I think this is a much better user friendly setup and hopefully would require a lot less tech support from me. Those are just some of the advantages of switching to C++ now. Others would include better system performance, better security, a wider availability of game related APIs, etc. Basically, C++ can't be beat when it comes to game programming, and now is clearly the time to strongly consider using it for this project as well as my on going and pending projects. The one question I know many of you are asking is, how long will all of this take? That is a difficult question to answer. Anything I would say here would be simply a guess at best. Do to the fact C# .NET is a C-Style language it obviously has a lot in common with C++, and much of the code could be

She has tried to forbid me for years to play sod as she felt its sheer violence. I will tell how it came to be that my mom has softened her view about sod. me and a friend of mine were having a pizza at a restaurant yesterday evening and we talked about games. I told this friend about the audio games I am playing, I described pipe2 to him in detail. and he told me about his games. He told me that he is currently playing mainstream games made for the pc. He once had the x box but it was too expensive. Each game on the x box costs 500 south african rand. But this friend told me about ashooting game that he bought himself for his pc, called unreal tournament where there is a lot of shooting involved. The game consist of different missions/tasks but the main objective is fighting. So I asked him whether his dad is ok with the game he is playing as he stays with his family and they are also Jehovah witnesses, he told me yes. So today I spoke to my mom about this friend's game, telling her his dad does not have a problem with him playhing it. and she told me that each person must decide according to his conscience. So I described shades of doom to my mom in the language of the man on the street. I told my mom that in shades of doom I do not kill people, I kill monsters similar to prehistoric monsters such as dinosaurs. I told her about the experiment that went wrong and that my mission is to collect wafers to shut down the experiment and to collect the wafers I have to kill creatures. She asked if there is blood in the sod game and I answered no. So eventually she agreed that its not harmfull to me. I will try to translate her words into English. now I agree a game of erasing monsters is not that bad. So now I can freelly play shades of doom without anybody asking me what I am playing if they see the title on my screen. Because I share my flat with a couple, my mom's friends, and they care for me such as doing the cooking. So if they have any questions, I will just explain to them how I have explained to my mom and that its ok with her for me to play sod. Spoiler space And I can also now play sarah soon even though my mom and her friends hates magic games . so soon I can also now freely play sarah without them watching the screen due to the fact that phil will change the screen name to only sarah instead of sarah and the castle of witchcraft and wizardry in his coming update. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. I completely understand. Please know that my question wasn't meant to offend or cause any kind of controversy. This kind of situation is unfortunately something which I encounter every day as part of my job. There are tactful ways of telling her to go jump in a river without saying it outright. However, that's beyond the scope of this list, so I won't elaborate further. http://www.allisonmervis.com/ - Original Message - From: Thomas Ward thomasward1...@gmail.com To: Gamers Discussion list gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Friday, September 18, 2009 6:54 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] good news: shades of doom Hi Allison, He is an adult, but age really isn't the issue here. Apparently from what I gather regardless of his age his mother tries to control him, boss him around, and tell him what to do. Especially, when a game, book, or something offends her religious views. For most of us we move away from home, get a job, and when a parent or in-laws try to tell us what to do we can tell them bite me and that will be the end of it. I guess he still lives with or near enough to his mother that she still has a controlling influence on his life so telling her to go jump in a river isn't feasible. Re: [Audyssey] a thought for all game makers out there
And in an ideal world, that would be peachy. However, in the real world, it's not always possible to have sighted help, so you have to learn to adapt. One possible solution that might work is to start some kind of website where people submit descriptions of the layouts of screens for these games, as well as the actions required to play them without sight. Maybe something like this already exists, in which case there's no need to reinvent the wheel. But instead of bemoaning the hopelessness of a situation, try to find ways to change it. A little proactive creativity can often go a long way. Smile. Now, for those of you with the punctuation turned off in your screen reader the command is plus channel, that is the word channel with the plus sign in front. Anyway, last night, the public channel was driving me nuts, so I disabled it with a +channel -public command. That is, +channel with a dash in front of the word public. I didn't see any documentation regarding how to enable and disable channels, so I am just guessing from my experience of muds past. grin. When I checked my channel list, I was indeed off of the public channel. I did find the public channel somewhat helpful at times yesterday, so I would like to enable it and disable it at will. No matter what I do, I can not reenable the public channel. I have tryed +channel +public, the plus sign with the word public, also putting the plus sign at the end of public, and all I do is succeed in creating my own channels called plus public and public plus! Lol. At any rate, if anyone who plays on this mud has the answer to this one, that's cool, if not, I will take it to the admin. Hmm, maybe some of us blind DustMare players can help the admin write some updated documentation? Items: Shows you a detailed list of your inventory, usually telling you what an item is used for. You can also type items itemname to get detailed info on that item spacifically, how much it weighs, its value, etc. can carry lb or kg: This tells you how much more weight you can carry in either pounds or kilograms. +help: Shows you the game help itself. Re: [Audyssey] Unable to quit dustMare.
I've since solved the problem, but I feel the need to point out that DustMare is not a separate program. Rather, it's a game which can be played in a mud client of your choice. Therefore, you can't turn it off in the system tray. I'm not trying to be condescending, but I wanted to clear that up so that you weren't confused. :-) Allison - Original Message - From: Anthony Vitale avital...@prodigy.net To: Gamers Discussion list gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Saturday, May 09, 2009 11:38 AM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Unable to quit dustMare. try turning it off at the sys tray At 03:11 PM 5/8/2009, you wrote: Hi everyone! Re: [Audyssey] Unable to quit dustMare.
I understand completely. The documentation sucks. Remember to use the talk command a lot. For example, when you get down to the main hall of the place where you're staying, type talk Finn. Talking to NPC's usually either leads to some kind of task, or at least points you in the right direction for buying things like armor. I'm very new as well, so that's all the help I can really offer at the moment. Remember to search the ground wherever you might be, and use your look and exit commands a lot. Well that and card games have never been my thing. I tend to lose interest rather rapidly. Growing up my folks could rarely if ever get me to sit down to a game of cards for more than a few minutes. In fact my preferred genre of games has been pretty much ignored by most devs until recently. Ever since I discovered audio gaming four years ago I've been hoping for a true audio role-playing game in the style of Final Fantasy or even Legend of Zelda. Entombed, the flagship title from Driftwood Games, is the closest thing I've seen to what I'm looking for. Of course what with it being in its Alpha stage at the moment it's hardly surprising the demo is A. incomplete and B. more than a little buggy. But it's got some serious potential even just from looking at the current demo. - Original Message - From: Allison Mervis alliso...@gmail.com To: Gamers Discussion list gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Monday, December 15, 2008 6:26 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Question about BG games produced by Ian Humphreys. Yes I know many of you are unhappy about the price of Acefire, but do remember it is Damiens game. As its developer, owner, and creator he reserves the right to decide how much he is going to charge for his game. If you don't like the price you can suggest he lower it, if you ask nicely, but complaining and calling the game crap isn't going to earn anyones respect If you don't think the game is worth the money simply choose not to purchase the game. Hi Allison, I don't know of any accessible quiddich games but I am working on the next best thing. In my Harry Potter game code named Sarah, you will be able to become a seeker. I figured the game was like two games in one anyway and this part would be easier to create since it is just you against the snitch. There will be two bludgers trying to knock you out, no quaffle, and one very fast snitch. I will probably be putting a time limit on how long you can take to catch the snitch, with a longer time for the easy difficulty level. Of course to play this abrevieated version of quiddich you will have to buy the game and get to that level. In other words, this will be the Boss level of the game. Yeah, Liam's got it pegged fairly well. What it basically works out to is a huge licensing fee to Warner Brothers (who handle most licensing issues in the Wizarding World) and possibly also to JKR and/or her publishers as well. Setting that aside, you could just sell the game and hope to not be bothered, and that is a risk that many developers are willing to take. I tend to be overly cautious, and would rather not risk it, and my business partner feels the same. Still, I would love to develop it. [Audyssey] basic mud questions.
Hi all! I just finished listening to Sean Randall's fabulous demo of Godwars, and I have a rather elementary question about mudding in general. I noticed that he was using a lot of specific commands in order to perform specific functions. Do these commands only apply to Godwars, or do they apply to muds in general? Thanks!
