[Audyssey] Fw: competetive street fighter
Sent this to another list but figured some people might be interested. I don't claim to be a master player, but Yohandy and myself are both quite proficient. At least yohandy is. Don't know about me. One more with interest in attending such a talk here. Hi Bryce, It's not working for me. I select Java and Create a New Character but when I select Go Play, nothing gets saved in Notebook, so I'm dead in the water. Re: [Audyssey] Dragon Realms and Simutronics
Oh yes, well that's what I meant. When you select Wizard and hit Go Play, a select box opens up with several apps including Notebook. Do you just select Notebook, or do you select it and hit return? I've done both, actually, and still nothing is turning up in Notebook when I open it up. Hmmm. Well, this is what I would say, if you have the wizard client and that downloaded, open it up in internet explorer and use wizard to create your character. You'll have to use the jaws cursor to read the stuff, but that's the only way I know of to do it. -Original Message- From: gamers-boun...@audyssey.org [mailto:gamers-boun...@audyssey.org] On Behalf Of William L. Re: [Audyssey] MOTA (Standard) Beta 13 Released
Hi all, The reason I assigned draw/holster to w is I thought that would make the most sense. I figured if you could remember w for weapon that would make more sense than d, which would work too, but w seamed more natural to me. Besides assigning d to duck makes perfect sense to me as well. well I like it being w myself. its a good position on the keyboard and is out of the way of miss pressing. Re: [Audyssey] MOTA (Standard) Beta 13 Released
Hi, Yes, it is. Plus if you keep your hands on the home row, as I dew, it puts all the keyboard commands in easy reach. With the right hand i, j, k, l moves you around and with the left hand you can press a, s, d, f, r, and w which performs a lot of actions too. So it is all in easy reach and makes sense. I’m really happy with the layout as it is now. This is an awesome idea man! I actually considered this a while back, but never thought people would show interest. I'm excited to realize that I was wrong about this and people really seem to like the idea. you guys have no clue what you're missing with some of these mainstream games until you actually start playing and experimenting. Where street fighter games are concerned, I consider the games totally accessible. I say this with complete confidence, as I've completed all trials for both Super and vanilla SF4 with no sighted assistance and gotten my platinum trophies. You'll need a bit of patience especially if you've never played mainstream games to really start getting how things work, but trust me it's not hard at all if you're willing to learn. Clement, you had any particular day in mind when we should do this? and when are those folks interested available? Re: [Audyssey] Fw: competetive street fighter
Right. First off, I'm proposing team talk as the lcient of choice, because of the sound quality. Now, I'm curious to know... does anyone know of a good way to stream audio through TT without using stereo mix with one soundcard? Because the audio is going to ome through, but then everyone is going to hear their own voices. So unless everyone has no problem with that... throw out a few ideas. as to a date, what does everyone interested think? Just to add on to Yohandy's earlier statement. A lot of people are indeed mising out. Even a lot of the people who play mainstream games and say that MK kicks SF's ass. This is an old debate, but I'm going to bring it up for a minute. A lot of people appreciate MK for the audio, the gore and the action. While that is true, I think that people haven't given SF that much attention because of how complex the system is. However, it's necessary to note that Street Fighter is what is known as a competetive fighter. I think that if people start paying more atention to SF, there could be something interesting results. Granted, MK is good, and I'm excited for MK 9. But I've always given a bit of an edge to SF because of the competetive aspect and how deep the gameplay system is. As a fighting game buddy of mine from home likes to say, "SF is easy to pick up and learn, but very difficult to master." SF 4 was the one that peaked my interest in SF again. But since then, it's been great, and I'm excited to see what people walk away with after the conference. - Original Message - From: "Yohandy" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Friday, July 30, 2010 8:52 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Fw: competetive street fighter This is an awesome idea man! Re: [Audyssey] Fw: competetive street fighter
You guys won't need it unless you want to follow around in training mode. Yohandy and I will have it on, because we'll most likely be sparring while we explain things. As for the ps3 not having enough good games out for it, I think I have to dey that. Not counting the awesome releases like MK 2 and a remade street fighter 2 turbo, there's a lot of other games. A few dragogn ball games, naruto, Tekken 6, Blazblue which is a completely new entry but an awesome one into the genre. Not to mention heavenly sword, rock band, and so on. But fortunately you'll already have a ps3 where you're living, so you'll only have to look for games. But I'd recommend looking into it, especially if you have someone sighted around to help you play the games. - Original Message - From: "Brice Mellen" To: "'Gamers Discussion list'" Sent: Friday, July 30, 2010 9:21 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Fw: competetive street fighter Lol I love main stream games Im just very behind on the times, cause I won't get a ps3, not enough good games in my opinion have come out for it, but where I'm moving to the person has a ps3, and I already gaught street fighter 4, I just have to get it from my friends house who lives really far away lol. Re: [Audyssey] Fw: competetive street fighter
That is something that you have to learn and I speak from personal experience. I'm planning on demoing it's a good day to die, only with unlimited amo. But I can never tell if a certain sound is behind you or in front of you, and then of course I walk forward and the sound is fading away, and then I realise that I must in fact be going backwards. That's where the real confusion comes in.
