[ilugd] Please Help me in this code(c++)
Respected Sir, Please check this code out and help me in this set of code. please check and Kindly write a code I want to create and define a recotrack based on the InGrid Hits. I wrote the following code. But check whether it is correct of not then correct it. It will store tracks in out node table G4 RecoTrack UDataTable* table = outNode-GetDataTable(G4Reco Tracks); //create and define RecoTrack UG4RecoTrack* track = new UG4RecoTrack(); const int InGridhits = table-GetEntries(); for(int j=0; jInGridhits; j++){ track= (UG4RecoTrack*)table-At(j); if(track) table-Add(track); } } Please find both files attached here with. You have to write code in NA61cxx file where I have mentioned //create and define RecoTrack. comment and make no changes in Accstepping action. Just have a look on INGRID Hits. I am sending you all three files. The file to work with is NA61BYPASSG4RECOMODULE.cxx and its header file. The other is the stepping file which has details of INGRID. I have tried to create and define RECOTRACK but Please check whether it is correct. You have to loop over the INGRID Hits. [ilugd] error witth rpmbuild
I'm trying to pack a software intp rpm. I have the source code. I have source code net-snmp-5.6.1.1.tar.gz I used the following commands... cd ~ mkdir net-snmp cd net-snmp then i made directories SPECS, SRPMS, SOURCES, RPMS, BUILD then i copied my source code into SOURCES directory. and put my spec file in SPECS directory. This is my net-snmp.spec file. ## %define _topdir /root/net-snmp %define name net-snmp %define version 5.6.1.1 Name: %{name} Version: %{version} Release: 1 License: GPL Group: Applications/System Source: net-snmp-5.6.1.1.tar.gz %define buildroot %{_topdir}/%{name}-%{version}-root BuildRoot: %{buildroot} Prefix: /usr Summary: SNMP, at its core, allows a management station to treat its network as a distributed database of health and configuration information . %description This package was originally based on the CMU 2.1.2.1 snmp code. It has been greatly modified, restructured, enhanced and fixed. It hardly looks the same as anything that CMU has ever released. It was renamed from cmu-snmp to ucd-snmp in 1995 and later renamed from ucd-snmp to net-snmp in November 2000. %prep %setup -q %build ./configure make %install rm -rf $RPM_BUILD_ROOT make DESTDIR=$RPM_BUILD_ROOT install %clean rm -rf $RPM_BUILD_ROOT ## Then, i fired the command rpmbuild -v bb net-snmp.spec Everything goes perfect. But it stops after %install and does not do %clean section. It does not give any sort of error too. I dont get any rpm too. I need this software in rpm format cause i need to provide it to my coworkers. Kindly help me. I dont know whether it is a good place to ask or not. But your help is much needed now. [ilugd] tiny URLs
Pankaj kaushal wrote: 1. Did you dream these rules? I didn't read them on the list guidelines. 2. Maybe you are not aware of http://tinyurl.com/preview.php 3. If you don't trust me, Don't click on a tiny URL pasted by me. I posted the tiny URL to *hide* the URL I was making that person go to. and there was a point in doing that and that was the only reason for posting a tiny URl. I generally refrain from posting tiny URLs and so should you. This may sound a bit ridiculous to some people. There's nothing wrong with Tiny URL you might say, and there are some merits. However, security and privacy should be our first concerns. So what do Tiny URL , Snip URL, ... etc do? They can convert a lengthy link (URL) into a very tiny one. What's wrong with this? people can hide anything by using such service. In other words, it can be abused easily. In plain language, unknown website address or un-trusted website links can be well hidden in such service, the mouse over or status bar won't reveal actual location Arrow Users will need to click in order to know the actual link. Also search for Cross side scripting for more details. Another way could be to have a SSL between Webserver and Proxy, and a different one between Webserver and Browser. Re: [ilugd] Need Postfix Log Analyzer which generate report based on sender
Raj, after 14 yrs in the field, i think i can live with all of this branding. I have been trying to help out people and if a few others don't like it , just too bad. and in any case i dont also mind if ppl dont read through my posts. i certainly read through and will continue to read through all the posts here (unless of course i am banned!) It obviously is very noble of you to help people even though you have been in the field of ah! (pissing off people?) for fourteen years. What is being asked of you is very simple to do. Look at my reply, I took 3 minutes off to: 1. Find out where you had written your reply. 2. *Delete* all the content you had unnecessarily quoted. 3. Hand quoted your reply, since it was one big line. Now, I did this so that when you *do* say something interesting, I will be able to read it and perhaps comment on it and we could have a conversation that could benefit both of us. like they say the free in FSF is about freedom and I strongly believe in it. lets not get bogged down with things like 'list etiquette'. If the free in FSF is about the freedom to be a jerk, you are welcome to be a jerk and I am free to ignore your messages and the moderator is free to ban you from the list. But, Free software is not written by being free to do whatever you like, Its written by collaborating with other people. You can be a useful contributor of this list by following the list guidelines or you can be a jerk. The choice is yours. First off! learn how to quote. What is it that you want to do? IMHO, there is a very big difference between Debian and Ubuntu and at the same time None at all. it depends on how you look at it. Usability wise ubuntu is a thousand miles ahead of debian. Ubuntu is more usable on the desktop. similarly, I wont be caught dead with a ubuntu install on one of my webservers. On the Desktop: If you know whats going-on or if you dont care, e.g If you know how does that pretty icon automatically comes on the desktop when you attach the Digital Camera, or if you dont care, then it makes sense to use ubuntu. If you wish to know what all you need to do in-order to get a particular version of the camera working, and are inclined to do it every single time you need to use the camera, then I guess debian is for you. On the server: I have never used ubuntu on a server so I wont comment about that. But, I have used debian on various kind of server settings, mail, web, gateway. It rocks ... the ease of doing stuff and the quality of the packages and package management system all shines. Coming to your orignal question, what debian to use? Like many other questions this one also has one answer. It depends. It depends on various things, it depends on your hardware, it depends on what exactly are you trying to do/run. If you just want to run a desktop then sid (unstable) is the way to go. Yes, males do dominate most computer related areas. And not just computer related areas. It is a fact- but not one to be plainly accepted. The question arises- why is it so? And to take it further, in any field, why is it that the marginalised continue to stay marginalised? Is it because they are genetically predisposed to being marginalised? Or should one ask- What opportunities do they have- are they in any way equal to the opportunities of the more privileged? At this moment, I am talking only about gender, but my concerns extend to all marginalised people, in all areas. It is convenient to say that this is how things are- and be complacent about it. This was exactly my point, males *do* dominate various fields, similarly there are many fields that are dominated by women, teaching for example. All I wanted to say was that we have a bigger issue at hand. Its not just that it is *linux* and the language of linux that is intimidating to women thus they stay away. This group is a open community, anyone can raise her voice, if there are women on this list and meetings who feel that the *prevailing atmosphere* is unfriendly and discouraging then this issue must be raised by pointing out what exactly makes one un-welcome and it must be addressed. This subject does come up every now and then, people wonder why more women don't participate, they raise the issue and say, we should do something about it. The thread reaches 50 and everyone forgets about it because nobody knows what to do. You have made a start by raising the issue once again. Lets not dwell into the the nature of society at large but make this group, which you made yourself a part of by subscribing to the mailing-list a little more comfortable for women. If yes, what steps have you taken to find out the reasons- and try to make it convenient and comfortable for women? I dont know, why again and again this thread raised its ugly head. I believe that more women aren't using Linux because there is a gender issue relating with technology as a whole. In my experiences males dominate most computer related areas. Even the customers in the computer markets are predominantly males. The proportion of females are increasing but they are still male dominated. When I passed college there were six female students in a class of fifty. However, there were more female teachers than there were male. It makes you clear on certain aspects of the IT industry. In all my experiences, I haven't encountered any sexism towards females in areas related to computing. Not even bad jokes. Of course, I may be not at the right place or wrong place. On this list it may generate respect and awe maybe a geek dream crush. Women who are part of the masses that don't really know or care about alternatives, in that they are similar to any guy who does not work with technology. These are the many people don't know much about computer systems. They want to check mail and not really care what they use to do it. They really don't care much about alternatives. My 16 year old cousin uses Windows not because it came with the computer when it was bought the machine came with Linux. She uses windows because all her friends use windows, because that is what was installed on their computers. They all use hotmail and MSN to chat and go to the barista and not cafe coffee day. However, I used Knoppix to introduce my 8 year old cousin to Linux. She figured out all the games and stuff in a matter of weeks. She uses it for everything. She even figured out how to play music via xmms. I was blown when I visited her the next week. I had to make 5 copies of knoppix for her friends. Going in for a FLOSS CMS sounds good, but be aware that most CMSs (FLOSS and otherwise) are riddled with security holes. Hire a good security consultant to help you out. Why do you feel FLOSS CMS is so weak? I have worked on atleast two FLOSS CMS and I must tell you the core is robust. May be the additional plugins/ extension, modules, released by so many contributors, may not be that good of a work. And about not knowing security holes, I believe security holes comes to notice quickest in Open source community. So we can always fix them. Your above comment is same as the view of many Windows clients! May you could also provide some security solutions for me too. I keep getting windows update every alternate day. FLOSS CMS's as a whole are not week, your choice is poor, PHP Mysql combo may be the easiest to implement, not to mention cheap! you can make a few bucks and hire some kidds to patch your FLOSS CMS together, so that does not look too much like PHP-nuke. PHP has a history of nasty security hole, think before you make the choice and look at the project mailing list history.
