Discrepancy in the count shown for the number of issues shown in the list of reviews and the number of issues in a review

2014-09-03 Thread Justin Fletcher

Hiya,

We're in the process of upgrading to a more recent version of Reviewboard (from
1.6.3 to 2.0.6), and have noticed an odd effect with one of the reviews from
the old data.

In the page showing the summary of the reviews we see that the review request
has 1 issue outstanding (it is yellow, has an '! 1') in the Ship It column.
When we view the review itself, there are no issues present on that review -
never mind any that are outstanding.

Screenshots of the issue in question:
http://usenet.gerph.org/Reviewboard/reviewboard-bad-issue-count-1.png
  - shows the review in the list with a !1 issue count.
http://usenet.gerph.org/Reviewboard/reviewboard-bad-issue-count-2.png
 - shows that there are no open issues.

Running 'fixreviewcounts' didn't update the numbers.

Is there a known issue with the import of older data having odd numbers?
Is there something we can do to investigate and/or cause the number to be
correct?

Hi Alfred,

Sorry, I’ve been out much of this past week.

So the paths are correct now, according to the access logs, but they’re still
not downloading. What do you see now when it tries to download? Can you show me
some access_log entries?

Can you also show the permissions on every directory/file leading up to one of
the files that isn’t downloading, starting at $sitedir/htdocs/media/uploaded/ ?

Review Board and SVN.

2014-09-03 Thread hardik shah
 Hello All,

I have Configured Review-board for Code-Review Purposes. I am facing an
issue while using Review-Board with SVN.

Basically, I am trying to Achieve below mentioned flow.

1) User checks-out the code from SVN
2) Make some change in the code.
3) use RB tools to generate the review request.
4) Log-in into RB server
5) All other Reviewers will review the changes.
6) Once the Review is done,Changes must be submitted by Admin-user of
Review Board.
7) Once Admin-user submits the request, changes must be committed to SVN

I was successfully able to run steps 1 - 6. But once Admin-user submits the
changes, the changes are not committed to SVN, I am not sure why changes
are not committed to SVN. I don't see any logs or error-messages for the
same.

Environment Info :

OS: Ubuntu
Review-board Version . 2.0.6

Re: Review Board and SVN.

2014-09-03 Thread Christian Hammond
Hi Hardik,

Review Board does not push code to your repository. For that matter, it never
alters your repository.

When a review request is marked as submitted, that means someone has pushed the
code to the repository. The pushing of the code is still up to a developer to
do.

If there’s a central person who is responsible for pushing the changes, what he
can do is, using RBTools, run:

$ rbt patch review request ID
    $ svn commit

Then the review request can be marked as submitted, either through the web UI,
or using:

$ rbt close —close-type submitted review request ID

Through custom post-commit hooks on the SVN repository, closing the review
request can even be automated when the code is pushed. We don’t provide any SVN
post-commit hooks for this right now, but you can use this as a reference for
building your own:

https://github.com/reviewboard/rbtools/blob/master/contrib/tools/git-hook-set-submitted

Hope that helps clear things up.

Re: rbt post not working with revision-range and other options in git for code already pushed to the remote

Hi,

Do you have a .reviewboardrc configured for that repository?

We recommend creating one, and using that to set the server name and the
repository name, in order to ensure that RBTools can quickly and consistently
locate the Review Board server and repository you want to use.

A lot of people use Firefox with Review Board. Are there any extensions you’re

Is there an HTTP proxy configured? Perhaps that’s interfering.

2014-09-03 Thread Christian Hammond
Hi,

Sorry, been out the past week.

I’m a little confused by what the actual problem is that you’re hitting.
Initially, with the first screenshot, I thought it was a static media problem
(since it didn’t look like there’s any styling on the page). The second
screenshot you provided shows that the static media is loading fine.

Is it just that you’re getting a 404 error? If so, what’s the URL you’re at? Is
there any URL that works?

No url is working. It just displays the main screen.
Main screen url is hostname/reviews
Even while displaying the main screen also it shows as 404 error but
displays images. I am using default file in the apache sites-enabled

2014-09-03 Thread Christian Hammond
When you say the “main screen,” you mean the one saying “The page you were
looking for does not exist” ? I’m afraid I still don’t have a good enough
mental picture of exactly what you are seeing and what goes wrong.

There’s enough working to show error pages and to show styles and images.

If you click “Log in” or “Register,” do you still see a 404? What URLs does it
try to go to?

Are there any other files in the sites-enabled directory?

Thanks Christian, it is working, when I manually add additional /reviews in
the url.
I could able to login with admin.
But after login again, it is showing as page does not exist. When I add
additional /reviews in the dashboard, then it works.
http://localhost/reviews/reviews/dashboard/
Here I added additional reviews, then it worked.

How to fix this?

Thanks,

In your settings_local.py file, try changing:

    SITE_ROOT = ‘/reviews/‘

to:

Then restart Apache, and see if things are working as you’d expect.

Selecting items in New Review Request for Committed Change drop box doesn't work and throws ERROR in server log file

2014-09-03 Thread Eugene

My SVN repository (https://fs.company.com/svn-proj) has four directories.
All of them show up in New Review Request for Committed Change drop-down

of them works ok, i.e. loads recent commits.
Selecting any other of the items results in empty list. Server log shows

Hi Eugene,

Glad you figured that out. I think we need to do some validation when
creating Subversion repositories to ensure they're always pointing to the
root..

Issue 3550 in reviewboard: Broken behavior of revision sliders.

2014-09-03 Thread reviewboard

Status: New
Owner:
Labels: Type-Defect Priority-Medium

New issue 3550 by michal.e...@gmail.com: Broken behavior of revision
sliders.

https://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=3550

Version: 2.0.6.
URL: http://reviewboard.xx/r/501/diff/3/

Repro steps
1. Add SVN diff with one set of changes (base revision no: 100)
2. Update review request with adding SVN diff with next set of changes
(base revision no: 110)

3. Try to view all changes done within that review

Expected result:
It should be possible to set the sliders to the position that allows
viewing all changes (the sum of all diffs) from the review.

Actual result:
Sliders on orig and version show changes only from given revision. Sliders
between revisions show changes between revisions

Reviewboard runs on Ubuntu
Client: Firefox 31 on Windows 7 x64

My ideas:
1. Change the behavior so when both sliders are on given revision changes
from that revision are shown and change 'orig' to 'base' - in my opinion
only this solution removes the current confusion how this works - I have to
explain every new person to reviewboard how it works and why this is not
intuitive.
2. Add a position before/after 'orig' with label 'base' and sliders between
base and for example revision '2' would show the sum of changes from
revision '1' AND '2'

I think you're misunderstanding how diff revisions are intended to be used.
Rather than each revision of the diff being a separate change, they're
supposed to be different iterations of the same change. This is because
Review Board has traditionally been meant for a pre-commit model where
multiple iterations of a change are reviewed before committing.

We do need to figure out what it means to iterate on a change in a
post-commit model, but that's a long-term project. We have an open
enhancement request about that, which I'm going to merge this bug into. In
the meantime, the diff revision sliders are working as expected, and your
best bet is to create separate review requests for each individual SVN
commit. You can use the depends on field to link them together.

What kind of authentication is being used for SVN there?

Also, do you have PySVN installed, or Subvertpy?

Since this is more of a configuration/support issue, this might be best on
