And the HTML answer has a broken OpenPGP signature.
Not nice.

Seems list manager breaks OpenPGP signature.

Test Server Name Indication (SNI) TLS extension

2018-06-05 Thread Maxim Masiutin
Hello Tbbeta,

Does anybody have an enviroment to specifically test Server Name Indication
(SNI) TLS extension that we have hopefully implemented in 8.3.0.25 (BETA)?

By this environment I mean different mail servers use the same IP address.

Could you please test 8.3.0.25 (BETA) with SNI and let us know whether it works
properly or not?

Ignore 1.3 - just a test

2018-04-11 Thread Eddie
Dear All,

It seems I have lost one folder in one of my accounts. Looking at it I
only see a folder icon with no description and that folder is empty.
That is bad as there are some important files in it. When I try to
rename that folder to the previous name I get the message that "this
folder already exist". So that means it is somewhere but not visible
to me.

Q: if I am not mistaken, actually never used it, there is a key
combination that can "recover" eMails and/or folders. Also tried to
find this in Help.

What is that key combination for recovering lost Folder/Files?

Thanks

If you remember the last version where it worked properly (if it did) - please
update the bugracking entry. We have made major updates of the HTML editor and
might have broken something. We are eager to fix it. We are now always using
the last version of TRichEdit from http://www.trichedit.com/trichedit.html and
we are in good standing with the author of TRichEdit - it is the component that
The Bat! uses to edit HTML files.

Now we entered the real beta test -- see Mantis issue 1338 formatting text in HTML editor

2017-11-13 Thread Lüko Willms
Hello Ritlabs and beta testers,

after Alpha 60, we now entered the real beta test.

There is an issue with text formatting in the HTML editor which was created
by one of the Alphas, and which is still not resolved. Unfortunately I can't
remember with which Alpha it appeared, but I remember that someone had reported
it.

Since it is still in existence with the current real Beta versions, I have
entered issue #1338 in the Mantis bug tracker.

Here is the text which I entered:

> When in the HTML editor, I use the button to mark a piece of text

Hi Everyone,

With 5.06, I had to reset the Options-preferences-Viewer/Editor-
Profile Layout to my own profile; it didn't hold between
installations. I would guess that would be normal, since the previous
version (5.05) was removed by the 5.0.6 .msi.

We've been through this. Not you and I, but me and the beta list:

Anyway, in the office I still use v4.2.36.4, and the second

No, you didn't read my mail. I said I want to give the user a choice,
which means you can still use the software exactly the same way you
are using it now. You are the one who does not want to allow a choice,
and you are saying that other people's requirements must not be

That's your opinion, not a general truth. You can still use TB! the
way you prefer, even if other people will make use of the option ot
display HTML properly. Please open your mind and allow other people to
have a choice. This is the 21st century, and newsletters and other
info from sources I trust (for example the booking confirmations) are
sent by HTML.

We've been through that. Bringing it up again will not turn back the
wheels of time, email is not the same anymore that it was in the last
century.

RT Why do you think the picture is too big? The pictures are both exactly

RT different layout. If the CSS doesn't call for a given font size, your

OK, so it's the font size. It has the same effect to me as the user,

RT Thanks. The HTML is rather buggy and contains a lot of unclosed
RT tags and proprietary CSS attribute for Safari and Chrome.

The browser and other email clients can render the HTML correctly. I
am not in the position to change the world so that everybody conforms
to the formatting rules. I only know that OE and other clients display
it correctly, but TB! does not. This is hardly a selling point for

Top Story This Week

The
United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF)
allocated $10.4 million to seven agencies
working in Cote d’Ivoire to help meet the urgent humanitarian needs
of people affected by the post-election violence that has displaced
hundreds
of thousands of people.

The West African country plunged into turmoil late last year after then
incumbent president Laurent Gbagbo lost a UN-certified and
internationally
recognized election to the opposition figure Alassane Ouattara in
November,
but refused to step down as his supporters started a campaign of
violent
intimidation of their political rivals.

While humanitarian response has thus far focused on displacements of
population in the west, the crisis is having far-reaching humanitarian
consequences throughout the entire country, according to the UN Office
for
the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), which manages CERF.

The funds from the CERF will be used to help provide health care,
non-food
items, food, water and sanitation, and educational support.

At a summit in Nigeria, Ecowas, the 15-member West African regional
body,
called for (http://bbc.in/gRrzDc) more UN action in Cote
d'Ivoire. They also called for tighter sanctions on Ggagbo and his
allies.
Some African leaders have also questioned why the world's powers have
used
military force in Libya but not the Ivory Coast.

ISOA Industry Insight:

The situation in Cote d’Ivoire continues to deteriorate. The African
Union
has held firm against the coalition government solution that has been
used
in Zimbabwe and Kenya – where the bitter rivals are both included in a
‘unity’ government. As a result, both Gbagbo and Ouattara now have
everything to lose making negotiations difficult and fruitless. With
escalating conflict there is likely to be an even larger international
peacekeeping operation in the future, as well as growing humanitarian
needs.

There may be an increased demand for construction and support services
as
utilized in similar situations by the AU and UN in the past. ISOA’s
diverse
membership is comprised of a wide range of companies and organizations
providing these much needed services in high risk environments, while
also
committed to a higher level of professionalism and ethical standards as
outlined in ISOA’s Code of Conduct.

The Bat! 5.0.0.148 BETA is available at
 http://www.ritlabs.com/download/files3/the_bat/a-5/tb500148.rar

Running 'test filters' actually filters mail not just testing what
would happen. Even if you select just one email to test, the whole
folder gets refiltered.

Confirmation?

I didn't try to reproduce it. But if you ask TB! to play a .wav file,
then that's what it does. You have just confirmed it. If the file is
40 minutes long, that's what you asked TB! to play. Most people will
use .wav files that are 1-4 seconds long, but it's OK if you are not
like most people.

I think it's WAD, and I hope it's reproducable - otherwise it would be
a bug.

No, in Argentina, in a secluded suburb of Buenos Aires. That is where
Adolf Hitler lived until his passing in 1972. His grandson lives
there now, just a block from the home of Elvis Presley.

They are collaborating in a remake of the 70's classic thriller, The

Dr. Mengele. You see, he'll be living there also, and will need a job.

Yes, don't use Gmail/Googlemail. I'm serious. They try to make up new
rules, and these just don't make any sense.

I always think of alternatives to Gmail (although I have been with
them since early beta days). Do you have a suggestion for an
alternative? My backup email since 1997 has been Yahoo Mail... but
I'd prefer something else for primary. I can't stand AOL (too many
ads and messy software packages), but what about Fastmail.fm? Anyone
here use Fastmail? It is a global mail provider. And it uses IMAP if
you only pay a small annual fee.

If anyone here has used Fastmail, what has your experience with it
been?

Thanks for any help.

I have been on fastmail for quite a while now. I am very pleased with
it. And I certainly wouldn't ever want to go back to POP.

The closest to a complaint I have about fastmail is the fact that
their web access does not include threading. They are in beta testing
of a new interface now, and I wrote to ask about threading. The
response acknowledged that some users had requested it, but that it
wasn't in the cards with this upgrade.

I have been very pleased with their filtering, and I hardly use TB!
filters at all any more.

Agreed. I originally took out a free account with them just to test TB's IMAP

Could be, any Idea how to get rid of this??

In the POP3-Settings within TB! just put recent: in front of your

For example replace weidmann by recent:weidmann (without the )

Googlemail will work as a normal POP3-Service.

Moin, folks!

With the current Beta I tried to test simultaneous connections of an
IMAP account, but after clicking the [Test] button nothing happened:

No warning, no success message, nothing …

(And yes, some time ago this test with the same IMAP account worked
and returned a success message. ;-))

Any confirmations?
