I think more than paging, I personally would look into options of 'Instant
Message' integration if I were a PM looking into messaging options That
would be even more interactive given that you have the option these days

The IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus Gateway for Remedy ARS uses the ARS
Alert Notification functionality to ship updates back to the Omnibus.
Basically they have filters executing on modify or delete with a Notify
mechanism = Alert action back to the omnibus user for bi-directional
