Thanks for all the help. I finally bulled my way through to get it done.
I was trying to get Mid-Tier up and running and wasn't reading the
documentation well enough.
It's up and going now.
Thanks again.

ARS listers I have a problem and need your help.
After doing an upgrade from ars 6.3 patch 24 to ars 7.1, our crystal reports

We are receiving this error:

Yes indeedy - docs are helpful. But I do recall having to make some
side notes around the docs about hidden tips and tricks anyway.
Glad to hear all is well!

Since you can compare a server to a def file this is not required.

First, have you done the verify databse item within the report?
Also - assuming you are doing indexed queries - perhaps your indices are
corrupt. You said you could not pull back recent data but you could pull old
data. Have you tried a broader range report criteria
I believe you can also dual-home your workstations with two NICs with each one
facing the separate networks. I've had a couple of customers tell me they are
doing this but I have not done it personally.

As long as you can access both Remedy servers (with the Admin tool) at
the same time you can use Migrator in a Server to Server mode. As Roger
said you can always use Migrator in a Def file to Server mode.

Jonathan,
There's a way to trick the approval mappings. First thing you have to
do is create a user on the people form... for example, Firstname: CINAME
Lastname: BusinessAPP.
Then you create the approval mapping for individual and add this user as
the approver.
You then have to go into either
If your non-support Support Groups don't need to be available for assignment

What I'm not sure is if that will also keep them from being

I have inherited one escalation which change Assignee group to Public for

Could anybody suggest any way to change Assignee group to 0 without
modifying other fields in a record.
Thru Database?
Only way you can update a record without changing the last mod by and date
(in a supported way) is through a 'merge' action on the recordyou could
if you would like, write an API program that would update the records via
merge, which wouldn't cause the last mod fields to change (if I remember

What about creating a View Form containing only the RequestID and
Assignee Group Field. You can run the Escalation on the View Form and
modified date gets not updated.

I'm having a problem with ITSM 7 and submitting incidents while I try and log.
I submit an incident in the WUT and it goes through fine, bit slow but

Hi Dylan,
I had a similar issue where the problem ended up being caused by dodgy SLM

Thanks Rosemary, I'll give it a shot.
Our Data Sources had a different field set then the Submit Date so I
set it to that to try out.
Our Business Entity was already set correctly. We're available 6am-6pm

if it helps at

Maybe FD stands for File Descriptor? Don't know if that's helpful, but ...
Anyway, the last time I worked with SLM, around July of this year, there were
