my post a few minutes ago, I misstated what I did - I added
lines to /etc/rc to make my hard drive mount, not rc.conf.

Hi Josh,
Rather then do just doing a "restart" you want to:

service dynamicdns stop
service dynamicdns init

That should do it.

Josh,
Nope. It does not support dialing by SIP URI. You need to map the SIP URI to an
extension on your PBX.
Honestly, my impression is that they support Opus as an approach to low
bit-rate calling, like G.729 but without the
out if you'd like. That would be the easiest thing
for me since I have not added Opus to my Astlinux build, and don't plan to for
a few weeks at least.

with those methods so the
actual process took me about 5 minutes, but reading the entire thread and
digesting all of the information (which I've learned to do when unlocking a
device I don't want to accidentally brick) took considerably longer.

Hello,
Does the current Asterisk 13 version of Astlinux support the Opus codec?
Also, I'm currently running astlinux-1.2.8 i686 - Asterisk 11.23.1. If I want
to upgrade to version 13, can I just change my repository URL and do a regular
upgrade through the web GUI?
Thanks,
e new partition was not made, running
initial-setup format combined must have done something. I don't need two
separate partitions but this works. I can't think of any major drawbacks to
this type of setup.
Thanks again,

Hi Lonnie,
I made the modification you specified (still using the custom build) and I'm up
and running! Thank you so much!
Why do you not recommend USB storage for production systems? I could be
persuaded to use the Wyse's internal storage.

I've only ever used a net5501 with one PCI card, and the general rule we
go by is 12V @ 1.2A - 1.5A just to be sure. If you're just using the
1.0A power supply, especially with a PRI and FXS/FXO line card, you
might run into trouble.

I doubt I can
get more than a couple simultaneous channels with the software codec.
Thanks from those who responded. I'll keep an eye on this list and the
project and would be happy to test out future releases.
