There were two Osprey flying around the north end of Dryden Lake yesterday
morning. One landed on the new platform. This morning, I noticed that there are

Hi all,
I was out in the corn field helping colleagues to weed their corn plots on
Britt Road near Poplar Ridge. There is a medium sized farm pond. Here we
observed an Osprey diving into the pond for a fish and came up with nothing and
dove again and finally picked up a fish and headed towards
A colleague of mine who lives on the lake along East Shore told me that she saw
a young osprey begging for food. So I was wondering which

I've been seeing Osprey flying low in Fall Creek on three different days
this week, each time calling. One over Gimme Coffee and twice over my
house within 100 feet above, and calling. Once there were two of them.
they circle around and then head back in the direction of Stewart
Park/Cass Park.

This evening around 4:45 pm I discovered an Osprey on Rt. 90, south of the
Village of Cayuga. It was in the north lane in front of the Mennonite farm
across from the nesting platform. It was apparently if not obviously the
result of having been hit by a vehicle. Part of one wing was severed.
At ca. 19:25 this afternoon there were a pair of osprey on a power pole (no
nest) on the E side of NYS 90, S of Aurora and a few hundred meters N of
Ledyard Road.

Great News! I'm glad the riser final got put back into action. Osprey often
need the stimulation of a few sticks to get into nesting mode. It was such
a shame that the folks who installed the new riser up left the entire nest
on the ground below.
It really is too late for a pair to attempt
The platform which NYSEG placed on the pole that had an Osprey nest last
year has remained empty all spring.
Last week I noticed one Osprey perching on the platform. This morning there
are two there. But probably too late for them to start a family, right?
The pole is on the west side of Rt 89,
I finally confirmed that the East Hill osprey stops at Beebe lake to fish.
Today I saw him (or her?) catching a nice sized fish and fly away with the
booty towards its mate/nest.
Also saw a fresh specimen of a Giant Swallowtail around Beebe lake. And then

It looks like there is at least one Osprey hanging on the campus and Beebe
lake. Today I watched hunt for the fish and chased by crows, when he got
annoyed at the crow and whistled at them to get lost and continued hunting.
Someone else also told me that they have been seeing an Osprey
