North of Chatfield is the relatively new Platte Canyon Reservoir (or similar name) which sometimes contains large numbers of gulls. It is accessible from Platte Canyon Drive, about 1/2 mile east of the intersection with C470. If the gull is not found on Chatfield, that place is worth
