It is the Battery backup. Either your Batttery backup is not large enough for your system (APC likes to have at least a 5 minute threshold) or your batteries are old and are not holding a change long enough. Plus check your buttons on your backup. Sometimes it gets switched and does not

I saw this the other week on a laptop that had a defective power cable adapter. The laptop would operate on AC power but failed to charge the battery resulting in the low battery warnings. Removed the (incorrect) adapter from the circuit and it worked great. Is the battery being charged?

I think you must be right. As an experiment, I pulled the plug on the computer. The PC went into standby even tho the battery backup should have powered the system. After plugging back in, a critical battery message appeared. The communication link between the computer and the APC quit

My two cents: If I were doing this, I would first copy cassette or records to the WAV format using a high-quality computer sound card. The sound card might have its own WAV program, or you could use Audacity. Next, I would use an audio clean-up program to remove hiss, pops, and scratches.

You might be right, that manufacturers have a date to stop manufacturing analog TVs, but I thought that the end date referred to the broadcasting of commercial analog TV. That date is on February 17, 2009. The manufacturers would not make many analog TVs after that date even if there is no

The change from analog to digital definitely DOES affect those of us who have digital TVs. We have analog service on all of our televisions--two are also digital. Actually, it's highly unlikely your TVs have analog tuners in them. They are digital. But what you mean is they are not ATSC.
