I believe that so called #18 fix is not an actual solution. It
disables multitouch features and makes your touchpad recognized as a
normal mouse (and since touchpad doesn't come with separate physical

Libav10 will not make it into trusty, largely because we did not
manage to get all packages in trusty built against libav10 in time.
I've started staging this transition in
https://launchpad.net/~motumedia/+archive/libav10-trusty/+packages,
but did not receive enough help with that.

I made a clean install of Ubuntu 14.04 beta2 (

The new menu in the application window does not always show up on hover
in VLC. In order to reproduce the probem, perform the following steps:
1. Start VLC
2. Click Help-About
3. Close the popup again by clicking the x in the new window
4. Again hover the menu, it will not
@Stephan you are now the 3. or 4. who has this issue when an external
screen is connected at booting. That seems to call for a new ticket. But
I installed todays updates (14.04), rebooted and all good. Currently
compiz does not use 50% of cpu power any longer.

While installing Ubuntu restricted extras, the software center
window became completely unresponsive, as evidenced by the window
manager rendering its window to gray scale. Although I've waited for
over 30 minutes, the progress bar remains stuck at about 60%.

In Ubuntu 13.04 Sound worked perfectly, then updating to Ubuntu 13.10
sound stopped working on my All in ones internal speakers and I've tried
every forum and nothing has helped
