really know how to validate a pdf file, but according to this web

Binary package hint: openoffice.org-writer
if you have text selected and hit CTRL+F that text is inserted into the
search field.
this does not work if the text contains control characters
as mentioned above, behavior of CTRL-F has been redefined in the meantime.
similar behavior can be reproduced by using CTRL-H now.
create a new document:
- type letter a
- type letter b
- hit tabulator key
- type letter c
- type letter d
now, if you select ab with the mouse and hit CTRL-H ab is

- gedit is set to provide a backup file afer a save. However, gedit has not
done so since its ubuntu lucid release. It just replaces the original copy of
whatever file it being saved. The preferences have been set to provide a
backup. This is not a permissions problem.
The bot was triggered incorrectly.

I seem to have problems installing this upgrade.
With the Software Update GUI I cannot select the packages to be upgraded.
With apt-get upgrade and apt-get dist-upgrade I see them marked as kept
back as cited below, but see no way to install them.
