The plugin only works on SC7.

The only thing I can think of is that the configuration of file formats
is wrong (and as an effect FLAC is converted to MP3)
To check this, in SqueezeCenter, go to Settings Advanced File
Types. Make sure that at the FLAC entry MP3 is disabled (I also

outperform any mid-range CD player, and some more expensive ones.

There are tools out there to export that artwork to regular files. But
AFAIK they just dump everything in one folder and
with mplayer cdda is just internal notation to mplayer to use the
player device defined by the -cdrom-device option. If no device is
specified, mplayer will try to use /dev/cdrom/
/dev/cdrom is OK for most Linux systems but not for OSX.
cdda2wav operates slightly differently and wants to work
bhaagensen - i'd gladly take it off your hands... (though i'm thinkign
of gettign a transporter myself though i'm a little worried that it

Finally got it to get through the entire setup menu by turning off all
wireless security and firewalls, and selecting a different channel
instead of AUTO.
It found my music source and would play songs...but the songs kept
cutting out...when the SBC would freeze... (so not a RCA cable issue).

Strange...slimserver did fine listing music by tagged genre.
But scanned my music folder after downloading and installing
squeezecenter 7.0 and only 2 genres are listed. 1 genre has no
contents.
I use J.River to make and edit tags, and everyother id3 info and album

I don't think they get erased. The new version has things in a different
place, and the old place doesn't get erased. But this may depend on your
OS, which you don't mention.
You should be able to import old favorites into, if they don't get
imported automatically. I did not have any 6.5
Existing favorites are stored in the file slimserver.pref for 6.5. With
7.0 this is converted into a new format and stored in the playlist
directory as favorites.opml.

Thanks, that worked for me. I wasn't able to find a way to exclude
specific files, the Mcafee menu structure is horrible, but I did
uninstall Mcafee and did a rescan and now the artwork is there.

I'd suggest checking that you don't have the volume turned down. Check
that the pre-amp attenuation isn't set in the audio tab for the player
in SC.
If it still isn't fixed then firstly try pulling the power on the SB,
holding + while plugging it back in and if that fails try a factory

Just as when you plug a new player in, it doesn't automatically start
playing what other players may be playing, stream.mp3 needs to be set
with a playlist.
As for syncing, it won't work well at all.
Use SoftSqueeze which will be much better (tho nowhere near as close as
a hardware player).
