I'm using iPeng since it's available on iTunes store. It has changed completely my usage of SqueezeBoxes... I've always found the Squeezebox interface very limited -- such as browsing through a list of artists or album on a single line display. And did not want to carry my PC in the living room.

The problem with (multi)media players is that the use cases for audio and video are so different. Whenever you try to combine it you will end up with a product that sucks for one feature (usually audio) or even both. That's what you've seen so far. Someone has to be the first to do it right

The first thing to understand is that the Squeezeboxes don't control iTunes at all. They can't import your iTunes library, but when playing music on a Squeezebox the iTunes UI isn't involved at all. You won't be able to use the iTunes iPhone remote to control anything to do with the Squeezebox.

I don't use Windows for SC/SbS, so I can't help you with the specifics. However, as to the general problem I suspect that when booting, Windows is loading SC before your NAS drive gets logically attached to the system. SC looks at where you've indicated the library is (eg, \\NAS\music), sees
