Share a network directory and create a shorcut to that directory in
your slimserver music library. Run Slimserver as the Administrator.

Yeah... I had the same problem originally. It's an IE binary parsing
thang. Use firefox, and the ZIP remains uncorrupted.

PKZIP25 (command line) also reports errors in the ZIP. I have the same
problem with the file from earlier today.

I have a win XP PC, not the fastest at 1gig Anthlon, and 1gig
RAM, but hey, it works perfectly with hardcore photo editing
software and massive audio software, just not slimserver.

Is there any way of setting the timeout period before the dreaded
connection problem message appears.
I get this message when searching for song titles and then only
occasionally. The screen the goes blank but then reappears with the
results, not very aesthetic.

I've just shown this to my wife. It seems that the gramophone styling
has a much higher Wife Appreciation Factor. Maybe this should be an
alternative case? The display would go quite nicely in the place of
the brass plaque on the front.
