I'm using the SB3 with SlimServer 6.2.2 22Feb06 version and linked to my
iTunes base. When browsing by artist, I see duplications e.g. Abba twice
and apparently have 195 artists instead of about 150 in reality.
Have deleted and rebuilt the index in Cache. Have completely rescanned
the iTunes

I have the same pb, but it doesnt work with me.
I have a SB3 with slimserver 6.2
I can't add song to favorites. When i press the fav button, it display
'press right button to add..'
So I press Right button, but nothing it happend, and the favorite list
is still empty.

I purchased the above software to record my old records to Ogg. It will
record anything that comes through your sound card and has a timer for
controlling when you record. I have used Quintessential player to play
the radio stream and total recorder to record. Quintessential is free.
I had a similar issue. I deleted the .pref file and reinstalled 6.2.1
which still works. It did cause some strange issues with my SB2
though, and I had to reflash the firmware to get things really back to
normal. It's a pain though, because as soon as you delete the .pref
fiile, you obviously

My workaround for the once only POP download 'feature' is to download
headers when I check my GMAIL via my mobile. Can this other program be
configured to check headers?
In reality I only use the email plugin to read the subjects of any new
emails, not the bodies. Often I get html mail (urrgh)
I experienced something very similar when I was using WMP to tag my
files. Even though the artist tag looks the same in one piece of
software, it is (not sure if this is actually, or just perceived by
Slimserver) seen as two different artists.

I have split my library across two computers. I put a link to the
second library in the main library that is located on the machine
running slimserver. I enabled file sharing on the remote library. I
have set the slimserver service to log onto the network and cleared and
rescanned the library,
There is a problem reading mapped drives when they are referenced by
drive letter, but works when using the resourse name. try using
\\server\drive\path instead of n:\path in the shortcut.

Yesterday, I heard a short burst of white noise as I was browsing
around Live365 stations. Some Live365 stations defintely sound better
than others (quality-wise), so I would not be surprised if the bitrate

reinstall the OS because our daughter played a sony CD on the

I assume SlimServer is using the internal at its
primary music location. Just put a shortcut to

I think the message is pretty clear: the perl executable binary could not
be found. Where did you install it? Once you've found it, run
/path/to/your/perl slimserver.pl ...
Or create a link to the binary

Ooops sorry, misread in the first place. You might have to make the binary
executable:
chmod a+x /usr/bin/perl
(or wherever you've installed perl)

I've been hoping for a while that a proper open-source competitor to
EAC will come out that has the same functionality (and hopefully a

I've just installed the ODBC driver http://www.ch-werner.de/sqliteodbc/
and have a few questions/points:
It set up 3 drivers.. SQLite, SQLite3 and SQLite(UTF-8). I pointed
these all to slimserversql.db but only the SGLite3 would produce
anything in MS Access (the other 2 gave an error).

switch out of full-screen mode ... and the breadcrumbs at the top of

I spent half an hour trying to figure out why my 6.2.2 server is not
starting. Luckily I found this post. Uninstalling and reinsalling

wav file playing in SB2 is smooth and gapless ,while flac file playing
in SB2 has gaps between tracks.

I'm trying to figure out how to easily be able to use the stream.mp3
connection method to playback music at work from my home server. The
connection is no problem, I have a VPN nailed up between work and home
and I can easily connect to the SlimServer http server, and I can also
connect using
