I have to add to the discussion- network video players are only useful if they also play web content. My favorite so far has been the xbox 360 media center, since you can play your own files, but also netflix. If you buy playon media server (for like $40ish), you can also stream hulu to your tv.

No. The files are processed by the server software and whatever your server can hold will work. Doesn't actually get faster with library size but I've seen users with low power systems like ReadyNAS and 50.000 tracks. There are users with more than a quarter million of tracks. -- pippin ---

It's actually not all that bad. However, the SC configuration has to be changed. When using the MusicIP integration, you need to add the music to MusicIP. SC will then automatically pick it up. It's nice because it avoids having to do a full clear and rescan of the SC database everytime you
