I've been having SC 7.2 problems, too... I had 7.2 installed for a week
or so. Something would happen quite frequently (not sure what) and the
Squeezebox would go completely blank (I think it was a wireless network
drop) and have difficulty coming back. Pushing a button on the remote

getting the latest firmware on my SB3 and then needed to load SC 7.2 on
my ReadyNAS.
This sucks! It has trouble finding my music folder and is slow as can

After using 7.2 for some weeks, i noticed one annoying problem :
-with browser selecting 'music collection'
-selecting 'genres' to show all the genres in the DB
-selecting a genre to show the albums belonging to this genre
-select 'all albums' which should show the album-art/titles only
I give up with SC 7.2. I've done factory resets on the SB and
Transporter and still have problems with both devices
I've reloaded SC 7.0 and both the SB and the Transporter work just
fine.
I'm very concerned about the quality of SC 7.2

thing is that it is still loading after 20 minutes. On the bottom of my
Safari window, the message says: Loading 'http://localhost:9000/;,

I upgraded from 7.0 to 7.2. My squeeze box works just fine. My

Try a factory reset: press hold ADD on the remote while powering up the
device.

anymore. The Duet controller states; No items found in playlist. (also

you're using a firewall, you might need to tell it about the new version

I noticed my AlienBBC add on disappeared after I had upgraded to the

You need to install a new version of AlienBBC (assuming you did not
upgrade from 7.1).
There is a new release 2.02 which includes all the menu changes
relating to iPlayer.

to play Apple Lossless files, i.e. my whole music library. iTunes scan
can't find 6.000 of my 16.000 tracks, without useful information in the

isn't broken for everyone.
My library is primarily FLAC and MP3, with some WMA and M4A mixed in.

In my case it is definitely a smaller space and not a missing
space issue. When I first powered it on I thought the spaces were
missing, but further examination revealed they are just much smaller.
For me it's not a big deal. If it's by design, I'm fine with it --

I upgrade 7.1 to 7.2. I use the classic layout of the squeeze center
website and with version 7.2 the right side of the website is not
showing anymore. Switching to the standard layout is also not working
correctly. Anything I could check to solve this?

I love the 7.2 release, as it has truly made several of the issues I had
with the controller far more bearable - wakeup is not yet perfect, but
now I can live with it because it no longer requires me to turn the
controller off-on every x minutes.

Updating the firmware on my controller with Squeezecenter failed each
time I tried, despite reboots. Solution that worked for me was to
select to select a different player in Squeezecenter (I have a
Squeezebox v3 and a Duet Receiver), before trying again.

I had been keeping my Squeezecenter at 7.01 and waiting for the official
7.2 to come out. I guess my usage model is not bleeding edge; my primary
goal is listening to music so I prize stability and usability above
bells and whistles. Nice to report that I installed 7.2 over a running

There appears to be a problem with the 7.2 release which is causing
problems for some plugins - WeatherTime, for one. It has been stated
that the problems did not exist with the last nightly immediately prior
