sees my Transporter and I can use the SC web interface to select and

Shoutcast works for me on 7.2 and 7.1 so I don't think it is a general
SC error perhaps something specific to your installation.

I have FLAC 48Khz/16bits encoded with embedded cuesheet and tags inside.
This is one flac file for whole album, so info about tracks seek are
inside.
In Foobar2k everything works fine, seeking to track1,2,3,...etc. But in
SC, seeking to track2 = seek to the few secs before track1 end...i

I'm having the same experience running 7.1 on an Ubuntu server.
With persistence, using Firefox on the server or Firefox or IE on XP
machines I can eventually get it to work but there is always a long
delay. On an HP XP tablet, who lives to control SC, it does not work at
all now. On all of the

formats, but i may be wrong. i'm also not sure what apps support
tagging wavs.
tags are just data in a special padded section of the audio file that
identify many things about it, ie. artist, title, album, genre, year,
etc...

my first thought is that you'd prob be better off with one dir per
album, rather than per artist.

i would look carefully at which tracks go into which instance,
including looking for case changes in the dir structure.
michael, i'm just curious mind you, but why when you and other
developers come across these problems do you not just file the bug
yourself?
in other words, if this user hadn't filed the bug, (and surely some
don't even if they report them here), don't you run the risk of the bug
being forgotten?
I get 15 instances of this one album - one per artist. I have other
FLAC and AAC albums that have the same structure and the same tags but
seem to get combined correctly into a single album. This MP3 album
appears as a single album in iTunes and MediaMonkey just not SC 7.1.

I agree with Mr. Sinatra, putting a compilation album into different
folders by artist is a problem. I'd move it all into one folder and
then load it into mp3tag and make all the tags the same except for
obvious differences. I just had a problem and ended up getting rid of
the compilation tag

There has been numerous threads about the scanning process failing,
turns out it is an AV app limiting access to the MySQL data files.

routine which presumably was not a requirement before 20582. So

the new Controller firmware. Has your SBC updated its firmware? I found

I would install 7.1 and reinstall the plugins from scratch. It may seem
like more work, but it should be easier than dealing with issues that
may crop up when migrating your setup, particularly if you then decide
to update to 7.1 on top.

Ok thanks for the advice. I do run other items on Windows Server, so I
need to keep that OS. I think reloading the plugins is not a big deal
as I recall its mainly a matter of copying them in to the plugins
folder and then checking they are configured correctly on slimserver?

But if the wine is any good, then it needs to be a temperature
controlled room, like my gf's parents have. I did want to
had the same problem a few months back. Optical light was red. The
company I bought it from (Crutchfield) sent me a new set overnight and
i used that box to return the faulty system. The delay was no fun for
sure. New one works like a charm.

I too want to say kudos for 7.1 There's a whole pile of improvements
that are making squeezecenter quite the slick music server. Hats off to
fixing the synchronization issues especially. My slimp3, sb1 and sb2 now
sync very nicely together.

Yea, i understand the topology problem and making sure everything stays
