I have had this problem since the my KPA was new 7 months ago.
Occasionally it would not turn on when the on button was pushed, you had
to cycle the rear power switch and then the on button would turn on the
KPA. This problem has gotten much worse and now occurs about 50% of the
time.

Same for my KPA-500.
I haven't studied the sequence of how I shut it and the K3 down but have always
assumed that sequence is involved.
This is not unlike the earlier issue of bringing the K3 and KPA500 online out
of order and seeing the amp fail to operate.

Current P3 firmware can display decoded RTTY. It's similar in capability to

Been a Ham for over 50 years and haven't felt this surge in excitement in a

I've also had that happen here, but it appears to be related to the power up

You don't say what software you are running but if it's Spectravue, just go to
the ExtRadio tab, select the K3 from the drop down list, set the com port, baud

I believe Don was saying that it takes about 10lbs of force to properly seat
the APP contact into the housing. It takes more force to seat the contact in
the housing than to pull the mated contact apart. If it didn't work like that
the connector would fall apart when you disconnect it.

Yes, a better way would be using a diode thru a switch to ground. In

Not if you connect via USB.
As a part of the referenced thread, that's not what it says at all.

That does not sound excessive - it is within a 10% range. The current
draw on 80 meters will be a bit higher than other bands because the
