ERR KEY indicates that the K3 thinks either the key, or paddle, or PTT
(don't forget about PTT over the RS-232 input) is closed when you power
on. Check your key and paddles, footswitches or mic PTT button, and if
necessary, remove the RS-232 cable.
There is also a PTT input on the ACC

I first noticed it I thought it was a fan relay or something to do with
the fan. But after hearing this longer it seems to be related to the

I have often thought that I would like to have the AF record option working
all the time. Too often I have forgotten to turn it on and regretted that
I cannot play back a callsign or report exchange and so on.
It would be nice to be able to set this in options such that the K3 has AF
REC enabled
After working just fine (no phones plugged in== speaker on, phones plugged
in == speaker cuts off), I just removed my headphones and have no speaker
output.
I immediately checked the SPKR+PH setting, usually set to no, and
adjusted it to yes. At that point I have output from the speakers. So
I have noticed the same clicks with mine. I run mostly meteor scatter on 6
meters, which is somewhat similar to RTTY - long transmit times with a high
average output power.
