I would be concerned about reducing voltage for SSB and TX IMD. The NXP 1K50H devices are only biased at 1 amp each which is a bit low for optimal IMD as it is. SSB IMD could be improved by increasing bias to 2 amps per device. Since the bias is only present during TX the waste heat increase wou

Try shorting the RCA connector on the amp and see if the TX light comes on. Load the KPA1500 utility and look at the log file. Look on the KPA1500 and see what frequency it thinks the amp is on. If it is out of band it will not TX. That is where I would start. Also check that all cables are

BYP + IN means you have selected to have the ATU in-line but the antenna's SWR was so low that the ATU algorithm decided just to bypass the L and C components. Functionally, it's the same as BYP, but you know that the ATU is enabled. This is exactly what you should expect with a dummy load. 73, /

If your Clipperton amp doesn't have the same problem then it does indeed point to the KPA1500. I don't own a KPA1500, but a quick look at the online manual shows that the tuning unit is an L-Network.  Depending upon the load the unit is trying to match, an L-Network can require a very large
