definitive, authoritative answer, and after the one or more diodes in
the TX/RX switch in the 500W 144MHz PA at our Munich club station died
during the contest last weekend, I need to ask...
1) What is the timing
A friend of mine found them in the April 2008 Mouser catalog. The
Anderson type connectors are shown on pages 1284 -1285... They now have
a posted type contact so you can attach the connector to a circuit board.

quality incompatibility of the Tyco copies.
The small PowerPole is already a marginal connector for high-current DC
applications. I cannot imagine using an off-shored type where the
contacts may not seat perfectly.
I do use the presets (I/II). I would prefer the idea of fixed presets
that get loaded into the working settings.

Farnell also do them in the UK. I have also seen many available via Ebay.
I would not worry too much about them, they have their weaknesses,
especially their tendency to come apart from each other because of the lack
of a locking mechanism, but at least they are a standard now.
Author summarizes (pg8): around 100 to 105 dB of total dynamic range is
about all that most people want. So, are claims of -138dB etc overblown in
terms of efficacy? Interesting article by G3RZP.

I built the RF probe in order to calibrate power with the KAT1 and
have verified that the probe matches the schematic described in the K1
