I use the KDVR3 with N1MM. This allows me to use N1MM F-keys to select the 4 KDVR3 memories. I like this setup as I don't need to connect audio to the PC audio card. This way no issues with hum pickup and adjusting audio levels. And the audio coming from the K3 whether using the mike or KDVR3

I found that my K1 was very sensitive to having good electrical contact. I had trouble with paddles that didn't have the bearings bypassed. The same paddles worked fine with my K2. I think this issue would be more likely with ball bearing paddles. I was using Kent twin lever paddles.

Jerry, Are you referring to the Overload Detector being tripped? If so, try adding a .01 uF capacitor between the base and emitter of Front Panel Q7. It seems some 2Ns are a bit more sensitive to noise on the overload detector output line. I know of at least 2 that were cured with this fix.

If manual TX Gain calibration is failing, then the automated K3 Utility version of Tx Gain calibration can't succeed either. The state 157 is just an internal variable in the K3 Utility, it's not a K3 state and doesn't mean much to anyone except me... The K3 Utility set the power level to 5.00
