I am not an authority on Remote Rig, but it would seem to be that JMP1 controls the microphone bias. The Heil Proset-K2/K3 sold by Elecraft is essentially the same as the Proset-iC in that it needs bias to operate. There are so many versions of Heil microphones that one needs to be specific
