lol - Reminds me of those lyrics from the Patty Duke Show song:
"Where Cathy adores a minuet, The Ballet Russes, and crepe suzette,
Our Patty loves to rock and roll,
A hot dog makes her lose control --
 What a wild duet!"

-- I really wonder if those lyricists and comic book writers, had a clue...

Isn't it fascinating how both of them claim to be laughing, but *they* are the
ones getting their buttons pushed over a post that *didn't even mention them*,
and then spewing vitriol. Does anyone suspect that it might have a little to do

I think Ann has gone on record saying that she doesn't
necessarily believe what Robin says.

No, he isn't a castrato. They stopped doing that over a century ago, thank
goodness. Modern countertenors use falsetto, whereas castrati used their
natural voices, which simply hadn't developed, since they were castrated before
their voices changed. Jaroussky has a very natural-sounding falsetto in the
soprano range, which is quite rare. Most countertenors are in the alto or mezzo
range. Beaufiul voice, superb musician.

According to what I've read, Moscow is first and foremost concerned

Glasgow Kiss

It usually occurs when someone usually English or from Edinburgh annoys the
indigenous Glaswegian. The indigenous Glaswegian will take offence at
Englander/Edinbugger and swiftly head butt (Kiss) him usually causing the
minimum damage of a broken nose, in some extreme cases a Glasgow Kiss has been
fatal but for it to be that lethal the recipient has to be an ultra-effeminate
Bag of Shite and from Kent, England.

Not to be confused with a Dundee kiss which usually ends up with the male
recipient shacking up with a bleach blonde, 300 pound, mountainous single
mother of 6 Dundonian with a Bucket Minge who will happily provide any Sexually
Transmitted Disease or illegal narcotic whether the male wants them or not as
well as ballooning to 350 pounds during pregnancy with mewling cabbage number
7, Although she will be only around 21 years of age when giving birth to her
7th mutant Ned.

Sometimes it's kind of sad to realize how poor the ones that quit TM are
doing compared to the ones that still practice. So, it's not the lurkers
that concern me - obviously they got a life - it's the informants that
keep telling us how great it is since they've quit - but I'm not seeing
much that is great about their postings.

The TMers seem to be doing really well - from what I've read, one gal
has her own successful business at home; another gal has a ranch with
horses up in Canada; one guy has his own farm in Iowa now and one gal
has a condo in Fairfield; another guy has a deck on his house where he
can sit a enjoy a SF view. Apparently one TMer on this list owns a lot
of Nokia stock. That's pretty impressive.

But, the ones that quit the TM program don't seem to have going: one guy
used to be the head of the waiters and a bread baker at a school
cafeteria - now he's fixing computers out of his garage to pay the rent;
another guy is writing science articles he cribs off the internet for a
few dollars; and another guy used to be a street busker, but now he's
just playing nursing homes, I guess. Go figure.

P'raps the jyotish-ees here on FFL can cast a chart for the Ukraine and tell us
what the outcome will be, albeit according to Buck and Nabby, the whole thing
in the Ukraine is due to world wide TMSP practice, so maybe there is nothing to
worry about over there.

It's more likely that some members of the Russian Illuminati are trying to
protect their financial interests in the Ukraine.  So, they secretly lobbied
the Russian Parliament to approve the attack.  Putin himself is probably a
secret member of the Illuminati since he was the one who proposed the invasion.

And the American members of the Illuminati would probably approve the invasion
in consideration of the investments involved.  So, more likely there will be no

Interestingly folks of that type were reaaaly into the Lord of the Rings
movies. I know a man, TM initiator, whose sister is a fundamentalist Christian
who is of that stripe and she tried to get everyone in her family to go see the
Two Towers and the Return of the King, especially.

When they were all sitting in the theater during one of the big battle scenes
his sister whispered "See? This is what Armageddon is going to be like!"

My initiator friend said his sister was watching the screen like Jay-sus
himself was on it.

I think Obama knew this was coming. He made that comment to make the Russians
think about their next move. Now that the Russians called his bluff, Obama
will likely pursue the diplomatic route and protest at the UN.

However, you're right in saying that the US can't afford another war. I don't

really have any direct interest to protect in the Ukraine.

Let's wait and see how this scenario plays out.

If there are -- or if there are some for the other TM fanboys/girls here --

I won't be reading this because I will be watching "Hannibal" tonight on
Hulu+. But I was going to mention yesterday that the second season
started last night and that I almost rented the BD of "Machete Kills"
for the evening but decided on watching a couple more episodes of "The
Returned" on Netflix.

In the US these days even if people still have TV via cable or satellite
(or even OTA) they tend to watch the next day especially if the show is
at 10 PM. This way they can skip commercials using the DVR which is
something I miss though Hulu only has about 1 minute spots and I just
hit the mute button during them. If I really wanted to see a show
"almost live" I would wait 15 minutes and then watch it on the DVR so I
could still skip ads.

We find ourselves in an upscale, beautifully-appointed kitchen, where
an elegant dinner is being prepared by an impeccably-dressed host. We
see the host's knife slicing the raw main dish, and then arranging it
into a presentation that can legitimately be called art. He walks
across the room and serves it to his guest, who is seated at the
dining table, and they exchange words.

Host:This course is called ryukozuki -- seasonal sashimi, sea urchin,
water clam, and squid.

Guest:What a beautiful presentation, Doctor.
Host:Kaiseki - a Japanese artform that honors the taste and aesthetic
of what we eat.

Guest:Well, I almost feel guilty about eating it.
Host:I never feel guilty eating anything.
Guest:H...I can't quite place the fish...

This would have been a cool "season opener" in itself, and a very
funny one, given that the host in this scene is Dr. Hannibal Lecter,
and you can't always tell what he'll be serving with the Chianti.

But what makes this scene more powerful is that it wasn't the first
scene. It was the second. The first was a type of flashforward known
as In Media Res, a technique that dates at least back to Homer, and
was discussed by Aristotle.

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/InMediasRes

In the first scene, we're in the same kitchen, and a similarly elegant
dinner is being prepared for the same guest by the same host. The host
uses the same precision with his knife as he slices the main course,
but doesn't get to the presentation stage because then his guest
enters the room, they exchange glances, each of them seemingly
realizing the same thing at the same time, and all hell breaks loose.
[Detail deleted not for spoiler reasons -- since you're going to see
it first-thing anyway -- but as a form of kaiseki for those who have
not yet savored this episode yet. ]The screen goes black, and a title
appears, saying "Twelve weeks earlier." Then we see the scene I
describe above.

Very effective. It worked for Homer, in "The Iliad," it worked for
"Breaking Bad," and it works for the season opener of "Hannibal."
Something is going to happen during that twelve weeks (coincidentally
enough the length of the season) that explains to us how the dinner
scene we see second morphs into the one we saw first.

The third and forth scenes take an opposite -- or perhaps the same --
structure. In scene three we see Will Graham, FBI profiler whose job
it is to catch serial killers by literally "getting into their heads,"
during his rare off-work moments. He's standing in a river in his
waders, fly-fishing. He looks up, and on the bank of the river he sees
a magnificent deer. We see the awe and reverence on his face as Will
gazes at the deer. Cut to scene four, and the same face, staring at us
from behind bars. Will is now in jail, charged with being the very
serial killer he is chasing.

So is scene three a flashback to the past, or a flashforward to the
future? Guess we'll have to watch twelve weeks of television to find out.

Since this was one of the best 40 minutes of television I've seen in a
long time, I see no problem with that... :-)

I prefer the European trend of having fewer episodes for a season and
all of them rich. The only exception seems to be the X-Files alumni who
know how to show run. That of course includes, Vince Gilligan
("Breaking Bad") and the late Kim Manners ("Supernatural"). The latter
show just got a renewal. It was a favorite of my tantric guru because
they actually had some tantric rituals in it. It also doesn't take

back they even did a show around a "Fargo" theme complete with a "you

number of posters has been steady, and though not statisitcally significant, 34
is higher than the average of 33.11 posters over this period. So we have an up
tick at the end of the first two months of 2014. Barry got you. You did not
shun the place. Identification with the symbols we have in our heads for
reality is a hard habit to break. Keep meditating Nabby, and maybe someday the
dawn will come (though of course it is not really a dawn). If you want to think
more clearly, I would keep my distance from Mr. Creme. But do keep meditating.

34 posters as of last night.

 32 posters Feb 7
 33 posters Feb 1
 32 posters Jan 25

Perhaps you'll find why this place is shunned in these kind of cynical posts,
this example from the Turq:

"I can't imagine a better personification of what Nabby (and of course
Maharishi) felt was the definition of "charity" or "selfless service." Bid
against other people to spend time with a fave band, the money going to the DLF
(and Maharishi's relatives), and you're cool. Not to mention the belief that
having the money to bid with makes you one of the "elite," more highly evolved
than others, and thus more worthy of respect. "

Isn't it fascinating how both of them claim to be laughing, but *they* are the
ones getting their buttons pushed over a post that *didn't even mention them*,
and then spewing vitriol. Does anyone suspect that it might have a little to do

Just because *someone* should do it, let's focus on another claim in this

been following the traffic on this site should know, this is total projection
on Ann's part, because I *don't* argue. I think -- and have said often -- that
I think arguing is idiotic, and I don't indulge in it. I allow the idiots to do
so.
*Ann* argues. *Judy* argues. Both of them seem to *live* to argue.

What this stalking of me is all about is that I *fail* to argue with them. They
try their best to get me to do so, because it's the only the way they know to
get what they both desperately seek -- attention. When I don't, they interpret
this as rejection (which it is), and then go crazy.

Need I point out that this is Robin Carlsen's act that they are mimicking? I'm
expecting them to start writing 5,000-word diatribes like his any day now.

So, how would you be knowing if they are "Robin Carlsen cultists" if

WOW -- I had no idea about his musical progress, since he was with that back-up
band, Jethro Tull ("Hey, which one is Jethro Tull??"). They were excellent, but
he is a real force of nature. I recognized his flute tone, rhythm, and style,
immediately, though I really like his vocals, too. Thanks for sharing this -
Perhaps your answer, to what is faster for enlightenment.:-)

Context, Share, context. If a think tank or a census wants to report in that
way, that is one thing - they are, in fact, large, impersonal, organizations,
but, when a human being starts writing that way, it is a little too CC-ish for
me; the clarity of the intellect, seducing the underdeveloped heart.

don't understand why Peter Bishop hops onto the Machine to

out of the timeline.

He later "leaks" back into the universe and finds himself
forgotten. The storyline borders on the absurd. The two
Walter Bishops couldn't help him, nor they can understand
how he could reappear. Considering their massive IQ, how
so?

William Bell dies in the original timeline, only to reappear

A bit shoddy I think. I still haven't read any reviews of it

[FairfieldLife] In Media Res: a TV series season opener review

2014-03-01 Thread turquoiseb
We find ourselves in an upscale, beautifully-appointed kitchen, where an
elegant dinner is being prepared by an impeccably-dressed host. We see the
host's knife slicing the raw main dish, and then arranging it into a
presentation that can legitimately be called art. He walks across the room and
serves it to his guest, who is seated at the dining table, and they exchange
words.

Host: This course is called ryukozuki -- seasonal sashimi, sea urchin, water
clam, and squid.
Guest: What a beautiful presentation, Doctor.
Host: Kaiseki - a Japanese artform that honors the taste and aesthetic of what
we eat.
Guest: Well, I almost feel guilty about eating it.
Host: I never feel guilty eating anything.
Guest: H...I can't quite place the fish...

This would have been a cool "season opener" in itself, and a very funny one,
given that the host in this scene is Dr. Hannibal Lecter, and you can't always
tell what he'll be serving with the Chianti.

But what makes this scene more powerful is that it wasn't the first scene. It
was the second. The first was a type of flashforward known as In Media Res, a
technique that dates at least back to Homer, and was discussed by Aristotle.

 http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/InMediasRes
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/InMediasRes

In the first scene, we're in the same kitchen, and a similarly elegant dinner
is being prepared for the same guest by the same host. The host uses the same
precision with his knife as he slices the main course, but doesn't get to the
presentation stage because then his guest enters the room, they exchange
glances, each of them seemingly realizing the same thing at the same time, and
all hell breaks loose. [ Detail deleted not for spoiler reasons -- since you're
going to see it first-thing anyway -- but as a form of kaiseki for those who
have not yet savored this episode yet. ] The screen goes black, and a title
appears, saying "Twelve weeks earlier." Then we see the scene I describe above.

Very effective. It worked for Homer, in "The Iliad," it worked for "Breaking
Bad," and it works for the season opener of "Hannibal." Something is going to
happen during that twelve weeks (coincidentally enough the length of the
season) that explains to us how the dinner scene we see second morphs into the
one we saw first.

The third and forth scenes take an opposite -- or perhaps the same --
structure. In scene three we see Will Graham, FBI profiler whose job it is to
catch serial killers by literally "getting into their heads," during his rare
off-work moments. He's standing in a river in his waders, fly-fishing. He looks
up, and on the bank of the river he sees a magnificent deer. We see the awe and
reverence on his face as Will gazes at the deer. Cut to scene four, and the
same face, staring at us from behind bars. Will is now in jail, charged with
being the very serial killer he is chasing.

So is scene three a flashback to the past, or a flashforward to the future?
Guess we'll have to watch twelve weeks of television to find out.

Since this was one of the best 40 minutes of television I've seen in a long
time, I see no problem with that... :-)

Says Barry, arguing with us. ;-)

Say, Barry, how come you're paying Ann and me so much attention this morning?

(See what I mean about his not being able to come up with any new insults? At
this point he's just using the old ones over and over--and they were flabby to
start with.)

Just because *someone* should do it, let's focus on another claim in this
latest rant, the word "argumentative" I've highlighted below. As anyone who has
been following the traffic on this site should know, this is total projection
on Ann's part, because I *don't* argue.

Just because *someone* should do it, let's focus on another claim in this
latest rant, the word "argumentative" I've highlighted below. As anyone who has
been following the traffic on this site should know, this is total projection
on Ann's part, because I *don't* argue.

Yuppers. Bawwy takes the first place ribbon for unpleasant, gratuitously

boring. It's like someone had an idea to stick this token asshole amidst a
group of people just to see what happens. Bawwy is like the 'plant' in the
audience hired simply to stir up and create some sort of stink. Those who
object to his odiousness are labelled one thing and those who ignore him are
labelled something else. But bottom line, he's predictable and unnecessary
because he brings otherwise interesting conversations down to the lowest common
denominator. I found it worth a smile this morning that he proclaims himself
50-50 right and left hemisphere of brain function. His evident pride showing
through. He's so fucking predictable and the reason he is so funny is because
he takes himself as seriously as he does. Thank God I can at least get an
occasional laugh out of his presence here, otherwise
 he's a write-off. Dorks and assholes are a dime a dozen.

Not a good argument:

If you look at the number of posters since the beginning of the year, as
measured on Saturday (the final post count for the week), you can see that the
number of posters has been steady, and though not statisitcally significant, 34
is higher than the average of 33.11 posters over this period. So we have an up
tick at the end of the first two months of 2014. Barry got you. You did not
shun the place. Identification with the symbols we have in our heads for
reality is a hard habit to break. Keep meditating Nabby, and maybe someday the
dawn will come (though of course it is not really a dawn). If you want to think
more clearly, I would keep my distance from Mr. Creme. But do keep meditating.

'According to Upasana Khand of the Vedas
we are told:- "yoga" is stopping the fluctuations of consciousness.
 The ultimate aim is this,
that by the practice of having stopped the fluctuations of the inner self,
to experience the Supreme form of the Self.
Calm without a ripple in any part of the pool of water,
that manner a person can see his own face.
 That really is the method,
stopping the fluctuatations of the consciousness is really giving a clear
reflection of the imperishable Self in the instrument of inner vision.
This indeed is "darshan" (sight) of the "atma" (self or soul).'

Yup, sure seems like these two are "laughing," eh?  :-)  :-)  :-)

Isn't it fascinating how both of them claim to be laughing, but *they* are the
ones getting their buttons pushed over a post that *didn't even mention them*,
and then spewing vitriol. Does anyone suspect that it might have a little to do
with someone outing them as the Robin Carlsen cultists they are?  :-)

 Dear Governors, Sidhas and Meditators,
It is our great joy to announce our next Ambassador Reception with special

inspiration in the afternoon.
This month our afternoon meeting will be an inspiring 2-hour workshop on the

Together we will go through the presentation slide by slide and discuss the
most crucial points. After the workshop you will be able to give this
presentation at various Centre events, Residence Courses, or to any meditating
group or friend. Or you may just want to gain this knowledge for your own
satisfaction.
Any questions you have during the workshop about the Global Peace Initiative
presentation can be emailed to a...@maharishi.net mailto:a...@maharishi.net and
we will try to answer all questions if time allows.
