I believe that when the IFA test becomes positive, the virus has gotten into
the bone marrow.

One of my vets tells of cats who drink local city water who develop

There are some who believe dry food causes CRF, so you may want to research
more on this. Try the Holisticat.com site and Googling for other folks.

Instead of water dishes, try a water fountain. My Homey has recurring bouts of

I'm a little confused. I thought the FeLV virus gets into the bone marrow of
every cat that is not able to extinguish the virus. The virus gets into the
blood stream then progresses to the bone marrow. From there the virus will
replicate in the white blood cells and the cat will stay persist

Depending on how far it has spread and whether it has metatisized, amputating

So sorry to hear about Smokey. I have a friend who had this with her dog. She
had the 1st tumor removed, but it kept spreading. She just kept him going as
long as he was still happy & not suffering.
Give him lots of love. He has done remarkable living this long with this awful
virus.

Hi
I just have to be totally honest here so that you and Ginger don't go through
what my little Fletch went through. I didn't make it to the vet on time. Fletch
died in his crate while I was racing to get him there to stop his suffering. He
died a horrible death, and I will never ever forget it.

I am dealing with CRF on a continuous basis, and treatment depends on the
levels of creatinine, BUN, phosphorus, etc.
I use aluminum hydroxide, Pepcid AC, sub=q fluids, special diets, and
whatever the vet tells me depending on test results.

Just google Tanya's CRF site and it will come right up
