My advice, for what it's worth, would be to vaccinate all my cats for felv. If your cats are mostly rescues, strays, it's likely that some of them are latent carriers of felv and you don't know it. Meanwhile they could be infecting others.

don't want to trust you to do it, find another vet. It makes a world of
