Yep, I wasn't completely clear. Right now, I am able to beam over rests, but the secondary beams are broken in the global setting, and the client wants them solidly across the rests in some instances, along with stub stems to more clearly indicate the rhythm. That's what I'm looking for

I know. But if you can get it to extend an internal 16th beam stub, let me know how. You can ONLY extend the beginning and end of a beam set. Try this: notate 8th note, 16th rest, 16th note, and try to extend the secondary beam from the last 16th note over the rest. Can't be done. J

Hey everyone I've got a part in the score that has 4 measures of rest, two are before a System Expression rehearsal mark, 2 measures after the rehearsal mark. Finale was converting it into a 4 bar multimeasure rest, so I used the measure tool to put in a break in the multimeasure rest.
