What are the issues with OSG around dynamic scenery (trees, non-static
randomly-placed buildings, 3D clouds, etc.)? Is it just a matter of
spending a few hours coding, or is there something in the OSG APIs
that makes dynamically-generated scenery difficult?

A very new one - the big effort to the old plib one
is, that the new code creates the characteristics of
towns and landscapes: american towns will have a other
structure like european ones, big towns other than
small towns - that's the big effort he works on.

Hi All,
I've created a simple model of Hangar One at Moffett Field for inclusion in
CVS.
I don't know whether the data/Scenery directory is synched from the scenery DB,
or whether it is independant.
Either way, the model and .stg diff is available from

I have a new notebook (an HP TX1220, which is a stunningly beautiful
machine), and decided to try compiling the latest CVS osg FlightGear
instead of using the old precompiled plib version from the Ubuntu
distro. Here are some comments:

Hi,
I wrote about my ATI problems at my home notebook. Now I just testet a
Thinkpad T60 with a Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML chipset
which worked on LinuxTag2007 with FG.
I checked out the newest code and after compiling and running I get:
$ fgfs --airport=KSFO --aircraft=ATC
