So, I finally broke down over the weekend, getting so frustrated with a the GPU not powering up under Linux that I installed FG on Windows. If I want to get FG last stable under Fedora 17, I have to compile it myself, only 2.6 is on the repo. The process is probably similar to compiling current

So, some of my impressions of how FG runs on the GeForce 670M (Windows). * in default terrain (I did Nevada, going with the F-16 from KNID to KLSV), all procedural effects in atmospheric light scattering on, some snow on the Sierra Nevada, 120 km max. visibility range, some Cirrus cloud develop
