It's just a guess without seeing the output of
dmesg but I think the ICH driver is the one, YMMV.
In my /boot/loader.conf I have the entry
snd_ich_load=YES

When searching the FreeBSD mailing lists archives,
irrespective of which list I am searching, I
receive an error if I try to access a second or
