Powerbook G4 Aluminum 1.25 ghz running 10.4.11. This is my back up computer
whilst my MacBook Pro is being repaired. I'm 600 miles from my install
disks.
The presenting problem is when I launch System Preferences and then
Network(network.prefpane)
immediately upon the window opening I get an

arrived today. IT DOESNT WORK! I bought it AS-IS, so just looking for
tips. The auction said that it was untested because they didn't have
the correct computer to test it (IE one with a GeForce MX2 or better),
so i took a chance.
Expecting the new iMac soon, I've searched the kb and not found the
answer. Should I be expecting to have to reset/erase the iPod to the
new iTunes or does migration assistant allow the iPod to be used on
the new computer without reset/erase?

Dan is correct. Multiple platter HDs' use segments of all disks for
each partition simultaneously so the HD does'nt have to jump around to
find files, and the dick readers run in parallel so to put mord data

On this particular machine I haven't ran the update since I installed. I did
install a predownloaded 10.4.11 update and an itunes 7 update. I think I
have solved the problem though. I just bought a DL DVD RW drive at a local
computer recycler for $15. I used patch-burn and it works great!
