My Powermac G4 digital audio doesn't recognize a new card reader and
MP4 player, but it does recognize my older digital camera and MP3
player.
Both card reader and MP4 player are recognized on a Windows XP
computer which also has USB 1.1 only.
Can something have become corrupt in the OS
for that. I have trouble contacting the
Chinese manufacturer, in case you think it's a mistake in the
firmware...

1.25 gb RAM now, runs smoothly on 10.4.11, but I wouldn’t want it to
get any slower.
The speed curve on PPCs went up until Tiger, but after that it went
down again, meaning that Tiger is faster than Panther, but Leopard is
slower
CS3 runs under 10.4.11, which is a bit faster and a lot less
problematic on your Mac than Leopard, so I don’t see any reason for
you to move to 10.5.
See if you can increase the RAM, though, because CS3 is a heavy-weight

2. Leopard or Tiger? Speed depends on which programs you use and is

The Digital Audio has this quirk that it has 3 physical RAM slots but
4 logical ones.

The DA does need 133MHz. What you can do from here is swapping the
modules in slot 2 and 3 and see how they are reported then.
If slot 2 is reported empty after the swap, you know the module has
YouTube is heavy on the computer, unfortunately it's as simple as
that.
You can improve the display by not using full-screen mode, and by
using a low-resolution alternative stream as pointed out by the other
posters.
Or see if you can increase the computer's RAM, and maybe install a
clean OS.
