Hi,
I don't think we really chose to do so. Instead, no game developer has had
enough motivation or creativity and imagination to create a fully 3D
environment, I think. The factor of time also plays an important role here.
I believe in Thomas thus.
Thanks,

Ouch! Well, I guess I am not going to be able to get them after all. I
wish some of these companies would sell peice meal. I can't afford that
much for one single game.

Hi Michael,
As to why there aren't many truly 3D games it could have several
answers. One could be complexity to write. They do tend to have slightly
higher math requirements for calculating vectors etc... Although, I
think most people had some of that in high school calculus. Another
Hi Ron,
Tomb Raider is a rather popular game for sighted mainstream gamers.
Basically, you assume the roll of Dr. Lora Croft, a female
archaeologist, who is on a quest for various lost ancient artifacts. You
can think of her as a female Indiana Jones type character.
In the Tomb Raider II game
Hi,
Glad I was able to bring clarification to the subject. What I mean by 3D
games and what the general accessible gamers think of 3D seams to be two
different things. They generally assume if audio is virtual 3D the game
is 3D. What I am usually talking about with 3D is a full environment.

Hi,
Now that I think about it Lonewolf comes closest to a 3D environment. It
does offer all the 3D directions and I believe many of the objects are
drawn in 3D. The only thing lacking in that game is a Virtual 3D
environment for sound.
However, as you were saying i don't think all the game devs

HI Tom,
perfectly expressed. In fact, I've always dreamed of such an accessible game

much.

Hi,
I had owned an amiga500 and played battle chess. It was played as regular
chess, but the neat thing was that the pieces were animated and represented
thier various names. For instance, the knight was a literal knight, a bishop
was an actual bishop. The rook was some kind of rock golem which

Hi Thomas,
I think Sound Ideas also sell CDs of sounds from individual cars for
around $75.00. There's a page on their site called Super Value Menu,

There's also a collection of car effects that, if I remember correctly,

Hi,
I think for me while the Atari games were only 2D no 3D anything to them
they had huge appeal and replay value to them back then. They were fun
for many reasons. They didn't have stellar graphics and sound, but the
story lines and game play was fun. Which is the only thing that really
