Yeah, I have to find and reinstall that game on my new laptop, but I
noticed basicly the same things as you did. You kind of do need some
familiarity with classic Mario to make progress. That isn't a problem
for me since I played that game a lot when I had sight.

i loved the mario games and played them all backwhen i was not blind.
this one i tried and love the sounds. unfortunately i cannot even get past
the first baddie. i don't know why i read the instructions but cannot seem
to get the hang of when i need to take the steps and when to kump or

I experienced the same problem. In my own testing of midi play back a
long time ago I found midi files don't always loop well in games. If you
aren't careful in checking or getting the play status of a midi
sometimes you get weird issues as with the accessible mario game.
