hmmm well thats easy to fix.
if I had all the files and stuff I could probably create a single
installer for everything, with innosetup.
then we wouldn't have to bother with extra downloads
though I only run xp here to.
not sure how to detect for 64 bit systems to.

Hi Thomas,
I am not positive that my games need to go into the program files x86 folder.
And I am not sure why they did. But that did explain why people were
installing my games and finding nothing but the game of life.
But yes, I plan to put that bit of help up on my site.

Hi Shaun,
Personally, I think that Inno Setup is fine as far as it goes, but it
is not really the best solution for software installations. Right now
I'm considering switching to Microsoft Advanced Setup Installer
because it is an advanced installer as the name says. The Advanced
Setup Installer
Hi thomas,
yes I sure did. I installe the winkit zip file, unzipped and installed it. I
always have done that when installing his games even in windows xp. All the
same I'm going to try the windows xp mode. I think my mac should be able to
handle it if you read the specs that I sent to the
hmmm is this a free installer?
with innosetup there are addons you can add though its really just a
low level installer.
I am using several things to run an installer it supposedly can do

Hi
I tried xp mode. for some reason running in microsoft virtual pc even with my
system its quite sluggish. furthermore I cannot use the caps lock key as an
nvda modifier key. and I haven't found the insert key yet, if there even is one
on my macbook pro on the windows side of things. I wonder
Hi Josh,
Yeah, i figured as much. As I said earlier on list the Windows XP mode
is crap. It is very slow and sluggish unless you are running an
extremely-high end system. Windows 7 takes quite a bit of resources
itself and adding the Windows XP mode drags things down to a snales
crawl. It is not a
Hi Shaun,
Smile. Are you kidding? Since when does Microsoft give good stuff away for free?
In answer to your question Microsoft's Advanced Setup Installer is a
commercial product. Not only do you have to buy it the software is
fairly expensive. It comes packaged with the Pro/Enterprise versions
of
Hi Ryan,
Yes, you can use Inno Setup's Pascal scripting to pretty much do what
Advanced Setup Installer does, but you have to do a bunch of extra
scripting where MSI allows you to bring up a dialog box check some
checkboxes, click ok, and your done. I think it is ten times easier
that way, but
Hi Josh,
Well, the reason I asked is that I have the 32bit version of Windos 7
here on my laptop and all of Jim's games work fine. I also have
several other games like he GMA Games, and those also work fine with
Win 7.
Cheers!

Hi thomas,

well we will probably have to address this stuff sooner rather than later.
ms has indicated that win7 is the last version for 32bit systems.

Myself though I think when it actually does happen I am going to miss
old 32 bit, and xp.
Ofcause before that I will lose my

Hi Shaun,
that's true. Windows 7 is suppose to be the last 32bit Windows OS, and
all of the new PCs built in the last year are pretty much all 64bit
anyway. So 32bit systems are going to be a thing of the past in five
or six years depending on how fast the general market upgrades.
However, that
