Hi Hayden,
Yeah, I have never been in the practice of declaring my variables. I like to
be able to just use a variable on the fly as it were. So I only declare them
if I need to such as a public variable. I'm not sure how to answer as to how I
remember my variables. Guess that I just do.
Hi Kevin,
VB 6 is not officially supported on Windows Vista and Windows 7, but
you can still run VB 6 apps on newer Windows operating systems if you
install the old VB 6 runtime files. Its just a matter of installing
the proper dependencies rather than have them ship with the operating
system out o

Hi,
You can get the FMOD Ex API from fmodex.com.
the fmodex.dll file is a com component so I don't see why it wouldn't
work with AutoIt. It works with just about everything else including
C#, Visual Basic, C++, you name it.

Hi,
Just wanted to add to Philip's post here. FMOD only needs to be
licensed if the developer intends to use it commercially. If it is a
freeware project theFMOD API can be used free of charge. Compared to
DirectSound, XAudio2, OpenAL, etc FMOD is far easier to use.

Ok, what libraries etc. do we also need to install to make this work?
When try running it, I get the following:

Hi Kevin,
COMAudio has well known issues and is not currently suitable for game
development. There are the Bass and FMOD libraries, but they are expensive
to license. Also, I would strongly advise against using AutoIt for serious
game development. I found out the hard way that it really isn't
