Hi Luká, Yes, I'm sorry, but it would be more difficult than you would think. For one, I do not have access to road maps of the United States like the original sighted programmer of the trucker game did. And as I said I was not the original programmer and thus did not write the code so that it could be modified. The same thing with the golf game that I was not the original programmer of. Over the years as many people have asked me to make the golf game a multi player game as have asked me to modify the trucker game, but it just can not be done. People such as David Greenwood have looked at the golf game code and said that it is just not possible without writing the whole thing from scratch. When programming a game or whatever, one wants to have an idea of what the program is going to be asked to do right from the start, because the code often can not be modified to do things not in the original plan. Often one would just want or need to start over from scratch. And truthfully I have no plans to write a trucker game from scratch. You know for one reason, I do not have road maps. And another reason is that I am working on Mach 1 tts. And have a couple of other games in mind which will take up at least the next year or so. I only analyzed the code enough to be able to add the sounds without screwing up the game or it's play. People were playing trucker in a version called Big Rig for a long time and I just thought that it would be more fun with sounds added. BFN - Original Message - That's a shame. Hi Peter, If you wish to drive a vehicle, may I suggest Mach 1 tts. It is the closest thing to actually driving that I have found since I had to give up my drivers license. Even much more fun than when my friend let me drive his pickup truck around in a field. You know because there was no visual or any other feedback like the audio feedback that you get in Mach 1 tts. BTW I have added fuel consumption to Mach 1 tts. Even just figured out a math solution to the lesser gas mileage at higher engine RPM. Still need to add the whole pit stop routine since your car will now run out of gas. yeah I wouldn't mind some additions to trucker, just getting there is not enough, as if you keep to the speed limit you will at most get there in 6 days or less. what I also was thinking of would be that you set the speed as usual but now you got control of the truck. depending of the time of day there could be from few to a lot of cars that you would have to avoyd. the more fatigued your driver gets the controls could be more laggy. plus if there were cops after you, you could, ahem, play like a gangsta and try and flee from them. they could maybe crash into some other car or just you would manage to get out then you would be in big problems. not only you could have a lot of cops after you, you would be denied access to truckstops, and if you run out of fuel, you're in jail. now for the train stuff. Hi Lukáš, I'm sorry, but I will not be modifying the Trucker game. I did not write the original trucker game. I just found the source code and added sounds to it. And then later converted it from the dos text game that it was, to a windows text to speech game. But I have never modified the code or play of the game. I also did the same with the golf game, but have added some features to it. All of the rest of my games, I did write totally from scratch.
