Gimp "locks up" too often on my computer. It just stops working and the screen turns gray and then the entire computer stops responding to commands so I can only shut down by pushing the power button and rebooting. No other program on my machine locks up except gimp. How can I fix this? _

I'm running GIMP 2.6.6 on Vista Home Premium SP1. If I use GIMP normally and try to use Colour Tools->Contrast-Brightness GIMP just stops working and crashes. If I run GIMP as administrator then I can use Colour Tools ok. So I guess it is workround. Paul -- Paul W. (via www.gimpusers.com) _

It might just be a screwy script. Try running Gimp from the command line, with gimp --verbose. Right before it crashes, it'll tell you which plug-in it's trying to load. Remove the plugin from the plug-ins directory and try again. There is no simple setting to disable script-fu, though you cou
